Is 40% fat macro a day too much?

I don't really eat a lot of carbs throughout the day, I'd rather eat more fat than carbs tbh. Would 40% fat macro be too much? My protein is 30% and carbs 30% currently bulking.

As long as you're eating more than you burn, it doesn't matter. Macros are mostly a personal preference

It is personal preference, you have to find what satisfies you. Mine is 45% fat . That and 30% protein is what works for me.

Try reading "Keto Clarity". The book has Chapter 5: Find Your Carbohydrate Tolerance Level and Chapter 6: Determine Your Personal Protein Threshold.

Nope, it you follow a low carb way of eating (WOE) then 40% of your energy coming from fat is definitely not too much. It really depends upon what works for you your body though. I get twice that on a daily basis but it's what works for me. (shrug)

There is no maximum on fat, just a minimum for fat and protein. As long as you get above the minimum requirements for protein, you could fill in the rest with fat.

I eat 70-75% fat every day. Around 120g.

What if you eat a mix of high carb and fat? My carbs are 50% and fats 25%

65% fat, 30% protein is my current setup. Feeling pretty good these days.

I'm currently doing 20% carb, 30% protein, and 50% fat.
