Hey!

I was wondering what kind of heart rate monitor I should buy?

What kind/brand is accurate?

My cardiologist recommended the Polar with the chest strap.

I have a Polar FT7 and it's very accurate. I love it...stores data, tells me how much time I'm in Fitness Zone, Fatburn Zone, and how many calories burned. I'm really glad I purchased it, very comfortable. I'm a P90X grad, I do Insanity, Zumba, among other exercises and this HRM has never failed me. This was highly recommended to me for weight loss and fitness.

    Hope this helps!

Polar FT4 is cheaper than the FT7 and pretty much does everything you need it to do (as stated above). I got mine on ebay cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
