    Dude, gout sucks. I've stopped drinking for about 1.5 years (still have an occasional beer) because of a gout attack that lasted over a month. Obviously alcohol was a big trigger for me cause now when i feel the slighestest pain, I take a pill and I'm good for a few months. I've lost 80lbs so far and still have quite a bit more left. Thanks for taking the time to share your story.
