I stopped smoking in january and turned to the occasional 'vape'. I have never felt fitter to be honest. I'm 38 and smoked since i was about 14. I couldn't run for more than 2 minutes before but now can do 45 to an hr if i'm in the right mood. So, if i can stop smoking, lose weight and get fit then you most certainly can!!!!
Why not try writing (with a pen or on a keyboard). Write your story, you never know, it might sell one day. Or how about photography? Outside, walking miles to get the right shot, then a few hrs on a night adjusting it on the computer? Again, people do pay good money for great pics and a lot if them are from amatuers.
Good luck, the hardest thing is getting over the first month, after that it's loads easier!!!!0 -
Video games, running, play with the kiddos, golf.0

When I get stressed out or withdrawing from caffeine (Which I am currently doing) I like to sleep. I do what I need to do (Work, gym, make dinner, laundry, dishes) I may sit and color with some soft music going but often times I just want to take some motrin for the god-awful headache and go to sleep.0

I used vaping to help me stop smoking too. Worked great for me!0

My husband quit smoking when he got tired of constantly getting bronchitis and pneumonia. He quit soon after we met. He carried around these lollipops everywhere he went. Every time he had the urge to smoke, he popped one in his mouth. He became famous for it at work. I don't know if it was "fun" or not, but it worked. He gave it up cold turkey and never smoked again. It's been 14+ years since he quit, and he hasn't had a single respiratory infection since, when he used to get a couple each year. Good luck, OP.1

Dance!! I have a 30 minute dance party in my living room every night. It's a great stress relief + it makes for a fantastic workout!1

I'm one of those dirty vapers as well, it really helped me when I quit, I still use it quite often but I don't smoke at all anymore, its been about 12 months since I was a regular smoker.
Anyway for fun? I play the guitar, banjo, ukulele and piano, I'm not much good on any of them but I'm good enough to keep myself happy, other than making a racket on my instruments I have always got my head stuck in a book...then there is just wasting hour after hour looking at videos of dogs doing stupid things on the internet0 -
When I gave up smoking over 4 years ago I became addicted to doing jigsaw puzzles. Find a really difficult 1500 piece puzzle and believe me the time just goes.. I often found myself up until 1am and my partner back then used to think I was a loon - but it worked0

Well, my two cents would be to add, or at least try to maintain a variety of activities so you don't get burned out on a single routine.. Most people already mentioned most of the activities I like to do, but I might add Kayaking/Canoeing. Oh, and if you try golf and walk the course, you're going to get a good beat down for sure!0

reading, reading, reading1

Playing video games. If my hands are busy, I'm not eating. Not overeating could be a challenge when you are trying to quit smoking, so doing things that won't allow you to use your hands for eating is a good idea.0
