Need to rid of my couch potato ways

I used to be so active. I remember being a teenager, and I dreaded the thought of having to sit down. Now when I get home from work, I just want to turn on the TV, and NOT MOVE. I exercise regularly, but I'm afraid the benefits of exercise will be counter productive, due to the sedentary lifestyle I live outside of work, and the gym. How do I motivate myself to get moving when I'm at home? I think it could be some part of depression. My fiancé and I own a business, so we are only working for 3-4 hours a day.. But I'm constantly moving at my job. Just weird that I don't want to do anything at home that is physical.. Any sort of help would be great :)

I wasn't one for moving much either like you, outside of work and official working out . . . then I got a Fitbit. Some of the things that got me moving more were things like having my snacks in a dish which meant I needed to take the dish to the kitchen when I was done. While doing laundry I make a point to check my clothes and remove each item as soon as it is dry, not when the cycle finishes and I fold and put them away meaning multiple trips the machine. Even walking through the grocery store since most of my shopping happens in limited isles taking the scenic route when possible adds to the activity count. Some people can get up and do some walking or running in place during commercials (I don't) but this too adds to getting you active again. I would also make it point to start putting things away even in the same room, just getting up and moving. The Fitbit helped because I could see the numbers but even without that you will notice the change after a while.

If you are only working 3-4 hours per day in your business you need to be working 3-4 hours per day ON your business to grow it. Get out & network, press the flesh. At least you will be standing & moving. Perhaps you will improve your bottom line too. If you are getting married I'm surprised you're not moving more: dress shopping, running around to look at venues, taking dance lessons etc.
