You cannot pick and chose where you want to lose weight from. That's Genetics.

If you want to tone the stomach. Crunches and planks. If you want to lose weight Calories Out > Calories In.

Keep losing weight. Exercises will give you stronger abs, but not more visible. Generally, I suggest a moderate deficit (10-15% less than maintenance levels), adequate protein (.6-.8g per lb of weight), a good resistance/weight training routine and time/patience.

I'm not even going to talk about "spot reducing" cause we all know that spiel, you can't do it.

    Anyways, WEIGHT-LIFTING.

    Lift.
    Lift.
    Lift heavy.

This tones up you're whole body, the more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate . I don't know why and I'm sure there's some whole scientific jazz to this, but I've noticed when I started lifting weights my stomach has Gotton flatter and tighter - I train core like ... Once a week.

Seriously, lift heavy - not too heavy don't be an idiot - look into weight training - eat right , whole foods - drink water - and throw in some cardio - and just try to be more active ,

You need to be patient and stop stressing over belly fat, the more you stress the harder it's gonna be to lose it - law of attraction and higher cortisol (stress hormone) will do you no good in toning up you're core.

It's important to do compound movements when weight lifting - such as squats but when you do abs do exercises that target the CORE and engage all the core muscles.

Planks are excellent , bicycle crunches, weighted crunches/sit-ups, side planks?

Consistency, and patience is what you need.

Just a point of semantics regarding the bold. While the statement is true, it's highly over emphasized. For every pound of muscle you gain, its only burns an additional 4-6 calories per day.

The advantage to lifting is that it helps maintain muscle mass. Since muscle is lean and fat is not, when you lose weight, you maintain the lean stuff and cut the fat stuff. So you get greater amounts of fat loss and a lower body fat %, which is the biggest driver on a body and it's look.

I'm all for getting on a good lifting programme too, but I have read that a calorie deficit along with cardio does work when trying to get rid of visceral fat in the abdomen as there is a slight preferential targeting. JMHO
    Do both weights and cardio.

    Cheers, h.

Edit. Sorry, I was assuming a calorie deficit was in place so do weights, cardio and eat at a deficit.

Ab Workouts- 3 to 5 sets
    25 crisscross
    15 crossover crunch, each side
    20 crunches
    30 flutter kicks
    25 heel touch

Google images to get some other ideas, but it can be done, and it DOES work. I also do a 10 minute standing abs.

These all can make for stronger abs but a calorie deficit is still required to burn the fat off.

But to add to your list, plans, bucket drops, abornome, spidermans, cobra, and more all help strong abs.
