July 10: 1,783 steps | .65 miles - Yes, still sick. And I'm so mad at myself. The only real activity I did yesterday was grocery shopping, and I forgot to put my Fitbit in my pocket until I was almost done. So most of those steps pushing a grocery cart didn't get counted.

I'm back! Yay! Didn't realize there was a new challenge for July. Glad to see it! I know I am 11 days in but this is what I have so far:
I hope to hit my goal of 70 miles for the month, which comes out to about 2.25 miles per day or roughly 5000 steps.

I need to step it up some if I am going to make my 70 mile goal. I will give myself some grace there though, since I am also supplementing my walking with swimming. So on the days I swim, my steps are less. Also, I am doing a 5K on 7/23 and want to have the stamina to do well and beat my personal best. I did this same 5K (Race for the Cure-breast cancer fundraiser) about 10 years ago and kept my bib and wrote my time on the back. I just came across that a couple days ago and it was a huge motivator. My 25th wedding anniversary is 7/20 and I bought myself a new dress. I am hoping it fits. By the time it gets here, I won't have time to return it for something else. My other NSG is to fit comfortably into my wedding ring (to be able to wear it) on the night of our anniversary. I have been able to sporadically put it on but its not yet comfortable enough to wear regularly. Wishing you all the very best!2 -

I feel proud of myself, I've increased my average steps to over 13,000 this week (I tend to do 18,000 - 20,000 Friday - Sunday, so it balances out).1 -
My goal has been to walk 10,000 steps a day. The only day I didn't accomplish that so far was July 4, when we were out of town. I still got over 4,000.1
