Mine i ran my first 5k event today. Last year i could barely run a half mile without wanting to die but now i run a 5k 3-4 times a week. I usually do them in about 40 minutes due to the fact i do them in the desert behind my house and i have to walk a section of soft sand due to my weak ankles. So i wasnt sure how today would go running on a sidewalk for the event but i ran the entire thing except i did have to run to the bathroom during but that didnt stop me from coming in 3rd place and beating my time of 40 minutes with an amazing 32.44minutes. Im extremely proud of myself.

Been craving alfredo. Made a lower calorie version with shrimp. 700 calories for anice large potion YUM! Yes this is a victory for me. We have an italian restaurant here in town that makes awesome alfredo. The old me would have ordered carryout and eaten the entire ginormus portion plus 2-3 garlic rolls.10

Hoping NSV has something to do with small victories... If so, I feel pretty good about my choices today. I'm generally a stress eater and today was riddled with it. But, I passed up Orange Julius, Cinnabon, and my favorite Thai place, and went into GNC to get information on protein powder instead. When I did let myself have a treat, I went for the no sugar added ice cream in my freezer and weighed out my serving. I finished my day well under my calories for the day. That is a huge turn around for me!15

That's awesome Erica! Mine is that I enjoyed my exercise today-walking down the road, skipping and jogging in the backyard. 7000 steps so far today.2

I'm looking forward to reporting my nsv! Perhaps it will be wearing a bikini in public next week.3

Went hiking a couple of weeks ago and realized that when hiking on rugged trails with a lot of climbing I wasn't getting winded at all- used to get totally out of breath from that and now- nothing.6

Those are all great nsvs. I still have a hard time with passing up certain foods in certain situations. But one step at a time to a healthier life. Congratulations to everyone on their nsvs ots not always about the scale but also those little accomplishments we make everyday.2

Good stuff. Have you tried the c25k app that will help if you arent much of a runner.0 -
I've never heard of it. But I'm definitely gonna check it out, thank you! When I was in softball I could run 3 miles in about 24 minutes no problem. Now? Hardly finishing my mile lol. And it always takes around 12 or 13 minutes0

I LOVE reading about the 5ks! Mine is in a couple weeks and I'm rather looking forward to it
My NSV today is that I was able to zip up a dress I've not worn in 10+ years. I also squeezed into another and got it zipped, but still too tight to really wear. I'm pretty psyched about both!4 -
AWESOME! I'd be happy with a 7 minute improvement too! WTG!3

Thats awesome. I know that feeling is amazing. I recently just fit into the same size pants i was when i was 17 right before i got pregnant with my first son. That was 8 years ago. I remember after i had him i couldnt get my pants over my thighs i cried and havent been able to until recently. Congrats0 -
I bought a size of jeans too small a few months ago (maybe 5 months?) and as i'm maintaining and didn't really intend to lose much more (not enough to go down a trouser size!) they have just sat in my closet ignored. I put them on yesterday and they fit perfectly! Yay pole for making my body so much tighter!!!4

Today my nsv is that I managed to stay loyal to mfp for an entire 10 days! These first ten days on mfp have reallt taught me a lot about my terrible eating habits. Each day I have calculated EVERYTHING and I managed to do something active every single day. As a result, I have more energy and I have less difficulty sleeping. I really feel that mfp is going to help me lose the weight!13

Went waaaaaaay over on calories yesterday. Just got on with the job today instead of talking myself into believing I have sabotaged myself and giving up altogether. So much of this is psychological.14

Mine is finally getting around to reactivating my nike running app..4

I stuck to my calorie plan!3

I got up early and complete another day of Jillian Micheals 30 day shred, only stage 1 and still taking it steady but I looked like a beetroot once finished..4

10 miles in 98 minutes! I average around 101-102 and have only managed 98 one other time.6

These are great nsvs!!! Once I ran my first 5k I was addicted!! Since then (7 years ago) i have ran numerous 5ks, 10ks, Mud runs, a warrior dash and my ultimate favorite the tough mudder!! I am not able to run much anymore due to my miniscus and acl being torn but I found other ways to move. I fell in love with push ups, squats and weight lifting!
I am not able to post a nsv for today yet since I just woke up but my latest nsv has been that I am on my last belt hole in all of my belts!!! Only 14 pounds away from my ultimate goal weight!!!
Keep it up everyone!!!5 -
All of your nsvs are amazing accomplishments. Good job everyone. Stick to it and never give up1

Thats amazing. I run a 5k like 3+ times a week and that takes me 40 minutes since i usually have to take a water break with it being so hot outside. My fastest was 32 minutes though when i ran my first 5k event as you probably read but i think the competitive side of me came out for that . Good job i hope to run like you soon5 -
My co-workers know that I've been trying to lose weight and asked me today how much weight I've lost. When I said 17 lbs, they were all so excited and impressed. I actually had one co-worker tell me I was motivating her so much, she was going to be getting into eating better and being fit and asked me to join her for weekly walks. It made me feel so proud!6

I just noticed this morning that one of my favorite dresses doesn't feel so tight in the chest or right under my boobs. It was getting so tight I couldn't wear it with a bra sometimes. It's still a bit tight but significantly less so.4

I ate a banana instead of a bag of chips with my turkey wrap. A very small NSV, but nonetheless, a victory.9
