OMG we are totally in the same boat haha. And it's not like there as been NO difference it's just my stomach is still very disproportionate to the rest of my body lol0 -
It can take a very long time and can come down to the very final few pounds. Be sure to read through this thread if you haven't already.3

The struggle is real! I solved this issue by wearing full panel maternity pants. I've lost 115 lbs and probably 15 inches off my waist. Down to a 14/16 in regular dress pants. Picked up a pair of full panel maternity slacks at goodwill on Friday. Gap, size freaking 8! I look proporionate and I'm super comfy.9 -
Yep, apparently my stomach is going to be the last to go. The boobs were first to go, of course!8

On the flip side, my cup size increased as I lost over 50 pounds and now that I am down to that final fat roll around my stomach...my breasts are losing sizeIt's very frustrating because I lose fat everywhere but where I want to lose it. Such is life.

I'm in with the stomach is the last, if ever to go crowd.
Over 6 years of maintenance I have learnt to love my stomach. Heck, I wear a bikini even.
I am at the low end of my BMI, lift heavy for me and have a good bit of muscle strength under a smallish layer of fat, but my stomach will never disappear unless I drop to an unhealthy weight or spend more time in the gym than I am willing to.
It came down to a series of lifestyle decisions for me.
I lift heavy in maintenance, therefore I am at least maintaining my bone and muscle density/ strength.
I don't wish to lift more than 45-60 min 3 times a week.
I am old so a recomp is very very slow.
I am not in a place where I want to do a cut/bulk/cut at the moment. That would probably be what would get rid of it, I fully realise that.
I like my food and wine and am not about to give them up for a bit of a wiggly jiggly mid section.
A flat stomach would be wonderful, but given the genetic propensity for me to store fat there, the sacrifice for me just isn't worth it, and I love myself just as much with it I would without it.
Cheers, h.11 -
Bah. So if it's in genetics it's an impossible goal?0

@erinsot, not an impossible goal but certainly one that is more challenging for us apple shaped folk than it is for a person who genetically stores fat in the thighs and hips - pear shaped. We see posts all the time on how to lose in those particular spots too.
Visceral fat, the 'dangerous' stomach fat is relatively easy to lose through a calorie deficit and cardio.
Subcutaneous fat in the stomach area is not as 'dangerous' (doesn't have the same effect on hormones etc), though unattractive to many, relies on a calorie deficit aiming at all over fat loss.
It is more a case of deciding how far you want to lose to get those last pounds off.
Here is me, I can love my stomach at this size. It is large compared to the rest of me, but it is subcutaneous fat, with decent muscle underneath so it gives me no health concerns.
Cheers, h.

I have two large fibroids and my GYN calls my uterus a 20 week uterus - meaning it's the same size as if I were 5 months pregnant. I don't look 5 months pregnant, but I definitely have extra belly girth because of them.1

If you have not reached goal weight, it's too early to complain about your stomach. If you haven't been strength training for at least 6-12 months, it's too early to complain about your stomach. Just sayin'.9

Hee hee, there is a ton of truth in what you say @lorrpb. It was close to a year of maintenance before I started to apreciate that my body was still shape shifting- not the laundry making things baggy.
Cheers, h.
