Women 5'8"-5'9" success pics

I keep going back and forth about my goal. I'm just under 5'9" and my doctor said 140-145 is good weight range for me. It takes a lot of effort just to get down to 155 and it seems like getting under 150 is impossible for my height (plus I'm pretty muscular from 5x5 stronglifts). I think it would be really motivating to see some pictures of women my height who are in that goal range. can you also share any tips you may have? Thanks!

I'm 5'9" and started at 213 in February, am currently 148 (GW is 140, thinking I'll go lower though because small frame). I'm not sure I have hard and fast tips other than the body achieves what the mind believes- let go of the mental block that going under 150 is "impossible". It is very possible if that's what you want, you can do it!

I'm 5'9" and I'm large framed. I've been lifting the whole time I've been loosing so I'm about 183lbs. My goal is 165-170 lbs. I'll throw in some in some current 183lb pics for you.

Thank you! She's going to be four in October (dating myself a little here lol)! I have three of them, but it took me until post-#3 to get fed up with myself. I think anybody can do it with enough focus- soon you will be your own inspiration @mylifeisbeautiful , keep pushing !

I'm new to this app but I am 5'8" and I personally think when I was in my 20's and 30's I could look great at 140, now I would like to be 170, I carry the weight ok and I'm 50 in a month. I think depends on your frame, your body type and age.

I am 5'8" and started at 170 (more like 173). Currently at 153 and I have that same mental block at getting under 150. But I had the same block getting under 160!
I have a GW of 145 but I think I really want to try for 135. I was always 145 in high school and college doing athletics. My body is a lot less muscular than it used to be so I think a lower weight is possible.

I am 5'9" and currently sitting at about 153lbs. I have an arbitrary goal of 145, but I just keep doing what I'm doing until I like what I see. The before picture is around 170-175 lbs.

Wow, you lost 65lbs in 4 months! You look great.2 -
I'm 5'8, I started in January at 168lb, currently just half a pound over my original goal of 140lb, though now I want to keep going to 130/135.

I workout 5 days a week (cardio and weights). I carry my weight in my stomach. Most of the weight (46 lbs.) has been lost in the last 9 months. I think I could get down to 145-150 but it would be very hard to maintain.6 -
This was beyond helpful for me. I'm newly dedicated to changing my mindset and getting below 150! Thank you for sharing all your success stories and I can't wait to share an after photo. I'm down to 157, the weight where I typically give up but NOT THIS TIME!9

I am also just under 5'9" and havent been able to get under 158 lb since my late 20s (not for lack of trying). I have always hung around 160 in the past 10 years. Except of pregnancies and post babies. I am curently at 168 (post baby #2) and this time really want to get under 150 but to be honest i very highly doubt my body will let go of the last 10lb. It never has in ages3

Speaking from a guy's perspective. Just to give you two points the first is it's not impossible to get under 150 it's just a mental game your playing and you can do it. Where I am right now and where I was 6 months ago I never thought it was possible.
More importantly the doctor's recommendation of the 145-pound range is just that, a recommendation. You have to figure out what you feel comfortable at.11 -

I'm 5'8 and currently 181 pounds. My goal will not be below 160 as I have muscle and am wanting to keep adding muscle as I continue to lose. That number on the scale isn't the only number I care about, my body fat percentage and how I feel are just as important.33 -
looking good3

Wow. Great job everyone! I'm 5'8...but I've just started my weight loss journey, so I don't have any pics worth posting yet.3

I'm reaching the point where I normally give up. I'm looking at all your pictures and staying motivated. I'm hoping to get into the 40s the next time I post in this thread

Ok back to this thread.
5'8" tall
SW was about 170.
Current weight 149. I haven't seen the 40's since highschool! Crazy.
Just got my body fat tested and am 18.9%.
I dunno what my strength/weight loss/body comp goals are any more. I still want to get to 145, so that will be first. But after that, I had an arbitrary goal to get to 135 just to see how it felt and if I could do it. BUT I have a race in November and want to be ready for it. Which requires more running and more strength.
My calorie deficit is making it hard to work out lately. So I might be reevaluating my goals once I hit 145. Other pic is at 169. Red shorts pic is at 149.
