Starting my Life Change!

Options
I am officially changing my life as of this morning. I did Turbo Jam and I am motivated to get in shape and live my life to the fullest! I have always been heavy and since getting married my husband and I have eaten our happiness :). I am now on High BP meds and we have had fertility struggles for almost 2 years. I want to be healthy, happy and dedicated. I would love any feedback or help. I am far away from family and friends and I want to do this for myself and my husband!

I thought I was reading about my self when I stumbled across your post. I made a life change decision 40 days ago just like you. It just hit me and is said enough is enough. I too have high blood pressure, ate my way to happiness and delt with fetility issues. tried for 8 years then finnally went to a fertility specialist and four months later I was pregnant with twins/ why I waited so long to go seek fertility is beyond me. I now have 12 yr old twins and to my surprise a 2 year old that came ah natural....well here is your motivation. In forty days I have not been a couch potato. I walk, play, mow my lawn, dance to the wii, jump rope, hike swim anything that is fun to just keep moving. everything, anything. i am embracing life and not just watching it pass away. My kids are happier because I involve them too went to the dr and at 210 a nurse practitioner set me straight. I was so thankful for her honesty. she said if you keep going this way you will not be there for your kids. I started balling my eyes out. I walked to my car and said that's it! .I have lost 20 pounds so far. This program is awesome. your gonna love it. be honest with your log and honest and I want to just see what happens next. my goal is attainable my life is here for the taking......

Your story is one I'm very familiar with. I've always kind of battled my weight, but my weight struggles became "real" after I met and married my wonderfully supportive husband 18 years ago. Fortunately, I was able to get pregnant twice and now have 2 wonderful boys, but I too am on blood pressure meds and have been for the past 3 years.

I've tried to lose weight many many times before, but this past January something just clicked. I had joined this site last year and then injured my knee and was forced to stop exercising and eventually I stopped trying to work on improving my eating habits too. Yet on January 3rd I somehow just got tired of doing nothing. I began to just re-explore this site and adding friends. That, I think, was the key. Having the virtual support has made all the difference for me.

I'm going to friend you because I want to see you get healthy and know you're going to love this site. Turbo Jam isn't for the faint-hearted so I can tell you are motivated already. Friends and support (both giving and receiving it) will only help sustain that support.

Hi, I'm looking to feel better during the day, have more energy, lose some weight and most importantly eat better. I don't even know where to start to eat better. So far this site is helping me during the day, plus the exercise makes me want to stay on course. Looking for support here to make sure I don't quit and keep going. I tend to get bored with things and quit when that happens. As long as I see progress and know others are going through the same thing, that should be good motivation, so thanks everybody!
