Anyone experienced this before?

For the past 3 nights I've been having trouble sleeping. I experienced this weird sore feeling in my legs that can only be alleviated by stretching. It's almost as if I was starting to not feel my legs. And it keeps coming back. Im not too sure how to explain it.. anyone experienced this before? Why does this happen?

Could be a circulation issue. I used to have to stretch my legs at night, but I started wearing compression sleeves on my calves and it helped.

Kind of sounds like a pinched nerve. I have had that happen before with my neck and my hand felt like it was asleep.

    I thought this as well.

Does it feel as though you have to keep moving them to get relief?

I would see a doctor to make sure it's not a pinched nerve etc. Just to make sure.

Yes it does! When I move my legs the feeling goes away but comes back after a few times. Eventually I just fall back asleep

Best bet is to call the doctor. People will give you a lot of suggestions but a doctor can only give you the right answer

One of my asthma meds does that to me if I take it at night. So, I take it in the morning instead. My doctor couldn't tell me why I was supposed to take it at night anyway.

This is how restless leg syndrome feels for me, also a strong pins and needles sensation.. It can happen if I take certain antihistamines, or if I take my wellbutrin to close to bed time, but sometimes it can appear without the previous, and my arms can get restless, too. Sometimes I just get out of bed and kickbox. My brain and body are exhausted while my legs are screaming GO GO GO GO GO!!!! I agree with speaking to your doctor about this in case it is something else. For me, muscle relaxants offer temporary relief. But yeah, go see your doctor for sure.
