Is *kitten* just a replacement for a cuss word?

MFP seems to replace cuss words automatically. Noticed when I wrote *kitten* (as in donkey) it comes out *kitten*, but the word tits stays just that. I thought T&A were about equivalent, so dunno whats verboten and what's not.0
