I have IBS so struggle with high fibre i.e. wholemeal goods and have started swapping wholemeal stuff like bread, pasta and rice for white bread pasta and rice etc and have noticed a remarkable difference in IBS symptoms. The only thing I'm wondering about is am I missing essential nutrients or does it not really matter so long as I hit macros? (I still hit my fibre micronutrient)

IBS makes it difficult to get your micro-nutrients (those that are absorbed in the bowel) anyways. Find out if you are low on anything. Specifically I'd be looking at the iron, calcium, and B12. As a man, you likely won't have to worry about the iron, as it is possible to overdose on iron, too.0

I'd say it depends on what your goals are, maybe specify that? But honestly from your post, it sounds like white breads and pastas work for you as your diet currently stands.0

I have Crohn's and on a low fiber diet so eat lots of white carbs with no issues0

I'm currently bulking so they probably work better than if I was cutting0 -
