With a larger amout yo lose you can afford to be more aggressive with the deficit, but that is not a recommendation to eat drastically low or starve yourself.

The run up to a wedding can be very stressful and attacking that on very low calories is a recipe for disaster.
    • So, aim for 2lb loss per week (probably around 1000 calories per day deficit but use MFP to calculate your calories).
    • Measure and log all your food.
    • Drink plenty of water and consider upping your activity levels (walking is great).
    • Don't exclude food groups or the foods you enjoy but incorporate them into your daily allowance.
    • Don't beat yourself up if you fall off the wagon, just get back on plan ASAP.
    • Build some stress relief time into the next few weeks.
    • Enjoy your wedding :)

Between now and the fitting you could be 4 -6lb lighter and could drop another 3 or 4lb before the big day. Obviously, these figures are guesstimates but the point it - you will be lighter and healthier for your wedding and on the path for further improvements in the future.

    Best wishes

so you can lose maybe 8-10lbs in th enext 4 weeks but then you'll want to stay the same weight so that you still fit your dress the same. and then maybe focus on weight loss after the honeymoon?

I'm going to try get a dress fitting in 2 weeks before the wedding but yes most of what I want to lose is going to be after, I go to the gym 4 × a week and at the moment I'm doing 15 minutes on the cross trainer and half an hour on the treadmill inclined.

With pcos, avoid all dairy, artificial ingredients, processed food, and carbs. Try a crash course with just meat, eggs, and veggies, 2 pieces of fruit a day, and single ingredient spices. Make sure to not skimp on healthy fat like coconut oil, avocado, olive oil, etc. and drink lots of water! You will probably initially lose a lot if you do!

and then gain it all back and be horribly bloated and uncomfortable when she eats normal food on her wedding day...
