How often do you weigh?

I am just getting back on track, right now my plan is to weigh once a week (every Friday morning), down 5.6 lbs my first weigh-in.
How often do you weigh, do you even weight thoughts?

Daily. I find the ups and downs interesting. My "official" weigh in is Friday morning.2

I do it once a week on Mondays. I get too disappointed with the daily up and downs.2

Daily..I wish I could do a weekly weigh in but I am much too curious. It is funny though...I know pretty much exactly how much I will gain or lose!0

I do it weekly usually Mondays or tuesdays. Daily is too much for me. I get frustrated by the ups and downs during the week.0

When I started the journey at the beginning of this month, I promised myself I would only step on the scale weekly but my travel schedule has monkeyed with that. I have been on the scale twice this week already & it's only Wednesday. I'm afraid I'm getting obsessive & I don't want to do that.0

I weigh daily (because that's what my pre-diabetic class leaders wants us to do), and I make a note of it, but I actually go by whatever I weigh in class (currently we weigh in every other week), and that's what I report into MFP, leaving it be until the next time.0

I weigh daily, but that's because I'm prone to severe edema [excess water weight] and I have to keep track of my weight to keep it in check.0

I weigh every morning around the same time after I use the restroom before doing anything else sans clothes with the scale in the same spot. I take an average for the week and I consider Saturday my official weigh day for week to week comparisons but I can also use the averages which seem to be more accurate in determining where I stand.0

I weigh every morning after using the bathroom. I weigh officially every other week. That allows me to adjust my calories accordingly.0

Consider weighing daily and taking the average over 7 days. Condition yourself to only pay attention to the weekly averages rather than the day to day number.
This average will smooth out the natural (and perfectly normal) day to day ups and downs that may occur.0 -
Every day at same time in morning and use Mondays as my reference for the week0

Daily. If it goes up during a deficit I ignore it as it's clearly just water weight and/or stomach contents, but if it goes down I log it.
When I'm not activly trying to lose weight though once every week or two, just to keep myself in check and make sure I'm not gaining and not realising.0 -

As someone who has 100 lbs to lose and very slow metabolism.. I get what you are saying. It can be a huge confidence maker or breaker. I say stick to the weekly! Fridays are good b/c if you indulge a bit on the weekend (an extra beer or something) then you have time to "erase it"

Every morning, but my "official" weigh in day is Wednesday. The ups/downs don't get to me anymore. I can pretty much predict them after 18 months of this.0

Me too. Sometimes if I'm excited I'll even weigh at different times of day. I've gotten where I can predict my morning weight based on where I am before going to bed.

I have the scale hidden and take it out once a week on Sunday morning. This keeps me in line on the weekends. Lost 50 pounds and still losing. One a week is what I did on weight watchers to keep one on track. I was doing weight watchers until they changes their program and no longer works and felt miserable. I do have some good recipes if anyone wants them that are not too high in calories that are very good. Just message me.0

Never used to weigh until I got close to my goal. It is a youth trauma, but also I di not see a need, there is more to life than the scale. Now I weigh myself once a month. That is for me more than enough. It avoids the freaking out because I had a non perfect day/week feeling.2

Once every couple months, sopped caring about the number on the scale a long time ago and it was liberating... Now I focus on the way my cloth fits....

Weekly. Long enough to see any real differences, but not too long to wait. I do it mid-week so I have something to look forward to.0

Daily after using the washroom in the morning and before eating or drinking anything.
Using a scale with good batteries located on the same hard spot on the floor and re-calibrated on a weekly basis.
I then plonk the numbers into a weight trend program to smooth out natural weight variations and see how things are shaping up over time (Look into www.trendweight.com and www.weightgrapher.com. Happy Scale for iPhone, Libra Android)
I only announce new lows on MFP because otherwise people would go nuts talking about the same lb lost a dozen times before it goes away.

I weigh daily and use an app called Happy Scale which calculates a moving average. you get a graph and daily weighings can be above or below the line ( sometimes on) . I think of below line readings as pulling the line down, above line ( especially if there are three or four in a row above) as pulling it up. The daily weight is a reminder of my goals.
This is a screen shot of recent weighing, free app, good information. The moving average is the important number, it smooths out the daily ups and downs.1 -
I weigh every day in the morning after I pee, I then keep a 7 day running average. Your daily weight will fluctuate quite a bit. The only problem I see with weekly is if you weigh on a high day or a low day you may not see the total picture. I graph my 7 day running average so you don't get too hung up on the daily swings.0
