107 lost - Over 50? It's possible!

The key to weight loss is not to quit! It's not all-or-nothing. It's not a perfect slide down. It's about making changes you can lie with, and creating habits and routines that satisfy, and still promote weight loss. If I can do it ANYONE can.

WOW! This is SOOOO great! I totally agree with you. I am 44+ lbs down today but was over 50 back in March...(with still about 30 more to lose) & I feel like it is a forever goal. I have become OK with that. I have made some really great changes to my lifestyle & I keep on doing so. Like you said, it's a straight "slide down the scale" AT ALL. I keep experimenting with my diet until I stumble across the path that not only works but is also livable. Some weeks are better than others but I will get there no matter how long it takes. AGAIN wonderful job...so inspiring!! You must feel wonderful because you sure do look great!!2

Fabulous, fabulous you! Love it!
Hee-hee! Have you had anyone say something like this to you yet? "What would you know about being overweight? -- Skinny little you!" You will!0 -
Awesome work! Well done you!!0

Kettelbelle, I think it's different for everyone. For me, I thought long and hard when I started this time about why I'd failed sexeral times before. I thought deeply about WHY I'd failed, and what I needed this time. I didn't rely on motivation. That comes and goes. I ate things I liked, and made big changes slooooowly. I still eat a lot on social occasions, but most of the time I eat to my plan. Mostly I tried to really internalize that this is truly for life. That's easy to SAY but very hard to LIVE. I'm still working on that.11

The trick will be staying mindful enough to keep the weight off. A work in progress.1

First, you look great, you should be so proud. Second, I agree 100%, it's possible. I'm also 52 and down 107 at the moment. I still have a few more to go. It's been slow and definitely not linear, but it's down and staying down.5

This is what I needed to see today. I am down 19 and have 64 more to go (I'm 56). I have wrecked my metabolism from years of bad food, bad diets and trying to side step the exercise - now I am in it for the long haul, logging every morsel, exercising 5 days a week and eating more fruit and veg in the last 2 months than I have in the last 2 years, I'm sure. At some point I've realized this isn't temporary anymore - this is what I have to do for the rest of my life. Your photos are inspiring, it's good to see someone over 50 who has succeeded - so thank you4
