Just hit your calorie goal every day. You don't have to exercise.

Well the good thing is you can lose weight regardless of what you're physically able to do. Just stick to what you enjoy eating while staying within your calories. If you find yourself getting hungry then choose foods that are lower in calories so you can eat a higher volume.

Walking is great and safe exercise for most everyone.

Surely your doctor/clinic is advising you?

    What everyone else said.

You can do this. Exercise really is 100% not necessary to weight loss.

No matter how much exercise you do, you can only control 30% of your outgoing calories but you control 100% of your caloric intake! Don't worry if you can't manage it because of pain, you don't need exercise to lose weight. Vox made a short video explaining this, you can find it on YouTube.

For me, cutting out processed food and animal products worked.

    Good Luck!

Yup, exercise is not required for weight loss. Just set up your info correctly in MFP and make sure you stay within you goal CONSISTENTLY and you'll see results. I have arthritis in my spine and so am not consistent in exercise due to pain, but still have managed to lose 83 lbs in 11 months.
