Advice needed!

Looking through my diary on MFP, I'm regularly meeting my protein target, but my carbs are usually over by about 10%, with my fat intake usually -10%. Whilst I'm happy that fat intake is lower, I'm concerned that my carbs are too high and slowing my weight loss. Can anyone give advice on this please?

if you're hitting your calorie target per week then it doesn't matter about macros for weight loss.

if you're not losing then its probably an issue around your logging - are you weighing everything you eat with scales? how do you measure calorie burn?

I'm everything I eat, and staying within my calorie target, as well as loads of exercise. Im losing weight at a steady pace, about 1kg a week. I was just wondering if I needed to adjust carb/fat intake, to achieve better results

1kg is plenty to be losing! Do you feel you need to lose more!?

As Tavistock said calorie deficit = weight loss, you don't need to worry as much about macros. I look at carb amounts for sculpting (I'm trying to reveal my abs more) but in my mind you need to get to the right weight for that first as nothing makes as much difference as that. Nothing, even hard-core exercise.

If you are staying within your calorie target then theoretically it shouldn't make a difference what your macros are, in terms of weight loss.

not sure what 'better' results you're after?

1 kg per week is a great rate! Just keep doing what you are doing if it's working for your preferred way of eating.

Carbs aren't a stumbling block to weight loss. Overall calories are what matter.

What better results are you looking for that you are not getting?

I'm not really looking for anything in particular, just making sure I'm doing everything I can for optimal weight loss
