Fitbit calories

Anyone else finding fitbit calories are not consistent.
It's been very very hot with high humidity, so I haven't been walking much.
But, one day I did 3300 steps = 411 calories burned.
Two days later I did 3400 steps = 220 calories burned.
Anyone else noticing issues?

Which Fitbit have you got? I can get wildly different counts with my Surge depending on whether I've strolled around for an hour to get the 3000 steps or pushed to get them in in half the time (or less), it really does depend on my HR and how much effort I'm putting in.
Was that your count for the day or just one walk? Remember Fitbit can also record other activity, especially the higher end models. For example, using the rowing machine for approx 10 minutes would give me around 500 steps (if that), but because I'm pushing and my HR is up around 150 I burn over 100 Calories.

I have the Charge HR.
Today 4200 steps = 969 calorie burn.......impossible, I find it so discouraging.
Not that I plan on eating the extra calories....just wish it would be more accurate.0
