Hi Guys,

Using MFP has been an eye opener. Usually tracking calories is a pain but MFP makes it SOOOO easy. Actually tracking calories has been mind-boggling. Before MFP, just eating whatever I felt like, I was consuming way to many calories. This explains how the weight crept up over the years.

For fun, I've listed my go-to meals that I usually will get at my favorite fast food restaurants. We are all guilty of it - eating on the go. The funny thing is, I had tricked myself into thinking these were modest meals. I would tell myself - I could eat more, but this was a permissible meal.

Burgerville-
2 small cheese burgers & small fries - 1180 calories

Taco Bell -
1 chicken queseritto and 1 small loaded potato griller burrito - 1060 calories

Papa Murphys -
1 family sized pineapple & pepperoni pizza (eat half) - 1980 calories
3 beers (ipa) cause lets face it, you know you drink beer with your pizza - 666 calories
HOLY CRAP THIS WAS A CAL-SPENDY Meal -2646 calories

Elephants Delicatessen (local food chain in Oregon) -
1/2 pint tomato orange soup - 327 calories
Small piece of focaccia bread (purchased extra) - ~140 calories
small baguette that comes with soup - 88
Smoke salmon salad - 390 calories
Total: 945 calories

Just to name a few...It's crazy how many calories were in a typical meal.

What are some of yours?

Well I've been tracking calories for so many years, I really don't have any huge mind-boggling calorie-bender meals. I see other that eat that way, all the time of course. And if they are young and fit, that's okay...but as we all know, the calories are more damaging the older we get!!

Yeah tell me about it, lol. Thankfully after over 3 years on MFP fast food doesn't appeal to me anymore.

I don't really have a problem spending 1000-1200 calories on lunch though, but my maintenance is 2200.

Dark chocolate--cheap or experience, doesn't matter as long as it's dark chocolate.

I've found that i can now easily modify fast food to fit my calories and most of my faves were easily tweakable (except that delicious jamocha shake from Arby's).

But I used to go to a sports bar and get fried cheese curds tossed in spicy bbq sauce. That was awesome, and no matter how many calories I think it was, it was probably more. *homer drool*

Ooo...cheese curds! Luckily I don't know of anywhere near me that has them, but when I go back to the midwest I totally stop at Culvers and get a Butter burger, cheese curds, and frozen custard! Luckily I only go every other year :)

Dairy Queen's cheese curds. Same with Buffalo Wild Wings. Luckily, I rarely eat from either place.
