I completed my first ever Spartan Sprint on 8/6/16!28

I started watching my carbs - not strict low carb, but I'm mindful of the carb total at every meal and snack . I found out today that my A1C went from 7.2 to 5.9 in 8 months! The doctor is very pleased and so am I.27

I started 6 weeks ago. At first I was very nervous I was starting something that I wouldn't be successful at. Then when I started losing weight, I was afraid when I lost just a little bit of weight, or had a weight gain I would get down/depressed and say to heck with it all. Today, I lost a half pound from my last weigh in. Here is the NSV I didn't get down and depressed with myself, and although it wasn't what I thought it would be, I know I worked hard, was good on my food intake for the week and that will catch up to my body soon. So today, I am not nearly as afraid of failing as I was before.36

Went to visit my old workmates after not seeing them for a year. Two people told me I have lost too much weight! I never thought anyone would have said that. I was kind of hoping that they would notice I was slimmer, of course. By the way, they are wrong, as I am firmly in the middle of my healthy weight range. Also, I went away overnight and although tempted, did NOT take my scales with me (who would do that??).20

I was able to go one hole up in the band of my watch. I had it on the second hole and noticed it was loose a minute ago so checked to see if I could tighten it a bit and found I was able to. I found it fit perfectly, but I prefer it a little loose so I went back down one hole.16

I broke my own FitBit record and did 30,000 steps on two separate days this week. (about 13+ miles/day)29

2.5 weeks ago took 30 mins to ride 6.2 miles at the gym. Tonite 6.2 passed in 19:36 minutes27

You rock! That's the winning attitude that will take you through the long haul. You can do it!
My NSV today - I had to hustle out of the house early. Instead of just skipping breakfast or visiting the local drive-thru, I grabbed a couple Fiber One bars to eat on the road. A better choice than I would have made in the past!

Put on a pair of size 10 shorts my mom gave me several years ago. They fit better than they ever have, and I have no muffin top!21

There was a Mars Bar in the fridge.
I took it out.
I looked at it.
I put it back in the fridge again and took out some cherries instead.
The Mars Bar is still in the fridge.
And that, for me, is a serious NSV.73 -
That's awesome!-1

C25K week 5 day 3 done! I've been dreading it for weeks - but it got done in my very slow 14 min mile but it's done. And I'm pretty proud of myself for that!35

My dog didn't keep up with me on our walk today. Don't know whether to be proud of me or worried about the dog!43

Over the weekend I went to Ross and picked up size 36 jeans and several XL shirts. I started the year in 46 jeans and 3XL shirts. While I was self conscious of how I looked in them my gf kept telling me I looked great.
Today I went out for my run after work before coming to devour the 20 or some odd hours of Olympics I've been accruing on the dvr the past two days. I love the Olympics so to me this is a big deal that I told myself it could wait and I'd get to what I get to before bed.34 -
Having enough wind to play tag with my kids.30

I ran a mile straight! I have never been able to do that! Woohoo!40

I was in the elevator today by myself and did a double take when I spotted myself in the mirror. I don't have a full length mirror at home and was pleased to see that my thunder thighs are no longer so thunderous! Also, when I stand with my hands on my hips I can see definition under my collarbone26

I did jumping jacks... JUMPING JACKS!!! Lol
Last year I started JM 30 Shred and just shuffled along during the jumping jack segment. Yesterday I was in a steps class and we had to do jumping jacks. I didn't even pause to think! Great feeling31 -
I feel light on my feet even though I am still in the upper 290s. When I went to look for something under the bed, I easily got on my hands and knees and then stomach fairly quickly and easily and got back up easily too.34

I dug out my iPod, loaded music onto it and have been dancing around the kitchen all morning, much to the amusement of my teenage daughter.
Haven't danced for years. Haven't danced with that much energy EVER.39 -
My weight bounced back up for no discernible reason this week but rather than just toss in the towel, I continued getting up at 4am to go to the gym and added more cardio..no quitting!
(It had better be a dramatic bloody whoosh this week36 -

True. I didn't think of that.0 -
I had mine filled in rather than cut.4

Ran a full 5K on Monday for the first time ever.
And my waist measurement was down to 36 inches this morning! It used to be 43/44 inches.26 -
It seems like all of a sudden my body is really noticeably changing to me. I've lost a little over 80 lbs and have about 15 more to go. I was a little bummed at first when I saw that I lost .2 lbs this week, but -- just in the last 7 days:
- Watches I literally could not get over my knuckles are now comfortably loose and fit normally on my wrist.
- I lost 3.5" off each thigh in the last 7 days. What?! (I measured and re-measured ... and re-measured!)
- I lost a .5" off my waist AND off my belly in the last 7 days.
- A pair of shorts I have never been able to get past my knees and that I was finally able to get up but were too snug to button just a couple weeks ago are now actually too big to wear. I missed that window of opportunity -- a good thing to miss, overall, but I should hang out in my closet a little more frequently.
BTW, it's amazing what kettle bells can do in such a short amount of time!

True. I didn't think of that.
Yeah. My husband has one of the tungsten rings. If he ever needed it sized (up or down), we would have to buy a new ring...and those ain't cheap! Lol3 -
Today has been one of those days. My divorce was finalized and my ex has spent the day trying to make me jealous and humiliate me. Then I took my final exam in one of my classes tonight and completely bombed it, which dropped my grade to a B, which ruined my 4.0 GPA. Normally the 1.5 quart container of rocky road ice cream in my freezer would be in my lap and I'd be downing it. Instead, I decided to go for a walk. (I did have a serving of the ice cream for dessert though, and it was still within my calorie goals )59
