Do you guys check this box ? Enable Negative Adjustments If you have linked your MyFitnessPal account to a device or app that measures your total calorie burn (Fitbit, Bodymedia, etc.), check this box to allow negative calorie adjustments from that partner to appear on your exercise diary. Otherwise, only positive adjustments will be allowed.
Changes to this setting will be in effect only for adjustments received from that point on (past adjustments will not be restated).

A negative adjustment means that your projected calorie burn for the day from the partner is below MyFitnessPal's initial estimate. If you are unable to sync your tracking device until late in the day, or if you don't consistently use your tracking device, you may prefer not to enable negative adjustments.

yes I did. I set my activity level to sedentary (even tho I am not) and enabled the negative adjustments based on the directions to setup my activity tracker.

So my calorie goal when I wake up is 1500...I sync...it goes to 1410 and through the day it goes up...way up usually to about 2100 or more.

This is based on my regular movements (5-6k steps) plus my purposeful exercise which typically gets me to 13-20k steps a day plus my other exercise like lifting and biking etc.

I have mine set up exactly the same as SezxyStef. Sedentary activity level on my MFP profile (which I'm not usually) with negative adjustments enabled. By end of day, I don't have a negative adjustment unless I've been a complete sloth.

I tend to sync my Fitbit throughout the day, so the adjustment is constantly being readjusted based on how much I've actually burned (according to Fitbit).

I would personally. I have MMF sync'd to my activity tracker as well.

As for the calories yes it will even out. When I did mine it set it to 1440..I did adjust mine to 1500 manually as that is where I want it..

Yes, absolutely. It's actually pretty important. Keeps you honest; it prevents you from making a pretty common mistake that sabotages a lot of peoples' weight loss or maintenance. I'm a really super active person, I walk and run and bike all the time, I can totally have that iced cream.

Since you have a thing that tracks how active you really are, the negative calories adjustment thing keeps you from over-eating on a bad day.

If you go for a long walk, you get extra calories and you can have a treat if you like; negative calories is the other side of the same coin. If you don't get out of bed, no iced cream for you.
