Then I took my final exam in one of my classes tonight and completely bombed it, which dropped my grade to a B, which ruined my 4.0 GPA. Normally the 1.5 quart container of rocky road ice cream in my freezer would be in my lap and I'd be downing it. Instead, I decided to go for a walk. (I did have a serving of the ice cream for dessert though, and it was still within my calorie goals )
That sounds like one nasty day. Very impressive that you chose a walk to decompress.

Two things:
Got caught in pouring rain and ran several blocks home. No issues aside from ending up soaking wet.
This is weird, but is a serious confidence-booster for me: I HATE having a lower belly pouch or whatever it's called. Some fat below my belly button. I have had it since I was a child, and I HATE, HATE, HATE it. I always feel embarrassed by it. Well, it's finally getting smaller than any amount of fat I have above my belly button. In other words: I have a little pot belly that sticks out a bit more than my lower belly. I know it is weird. Crazy even. But if someone said to me something like, "You've got a little pot belly," I'd be like, "Yeah, whatever, I've got about 12 lbs to lose and I'm 46 yrs. old. Whatever ... Get off my case." But if someone pointed out my lower belly pouch, I'd want to have the earth swallow me up and die.
I know it is so weird but to finally feel normal -- truly, it is a miracle to me. My body is finally, for the first time in about 15 yrs, normal -- and nearly what I have always wanted it to be.33 -
Milestone of 100 days of riding my bike everyday and just fell short of my 1500 miles goal by day 100. At 1486 miles. Would have made it but got caught by a popup shower.

I bought a rhubarb pie about 3 months ago. Cut a quarter of it and had that over two nights. I put the rest of the pie in the freezer cut into quarters. They're still in there. In the old days that pie wouldn't have lasted more than a week!21

Just went shopping in my own closet and clothes I haven't touched in two years fit again. Very excited to be rocking my size 10s & 12s again.24
-
Slipping into size 8 jeans now, that's the same measurements I was at age 14.26
-
I've been hitting my goal of 10,000 steps everyday, even when it means pacing before bed to get the last steps in.33

I'm actually looking forward to my exercise classes!22

My mum said to me today, "Have you lost MORE weight since I last saw you?" (my last visit was ten days ago and I have lost a bit since). She then said, "You must be smaller than on your wedding day!" (been married 19 years) to which my husband (who never comments about my weight, appearance or weight loss) said "Actually, she's LOADS smaller than on our wedding day, her dress would be like a tent on her now!".
And I thought that he hadn't noticed - he always claims not to see because he says that he sees me daily and the change is so gradual.
My daughter said a similar thing as well, that she'd found a picture of me from before I changed my lifestyle and she couldn't believe that I was so big!
I think that these were compliments . . .43 -
I tried to tighten the ankle straps on a pair of shoes I haven't worn since last year, but they were already in the last hole. My cankles have been replaced by rather dainty ankles!22

You've been doing soo great! It's quite impressive how our tastes just change when we do things the right way.

I had some spare time before starting work yesterday and really wanted a sweet treat. I knew I was going to have big lunch so I grabbed some fresh orange juice instead! A couple of months ago it would have been a couple of doughnuts as a "second breakfast"!16

Started 2016 off wearing a 4x shirt. Tried on a Large shirt yesterday and it fit45

I felt rough going for our walk tonight. Ended up having to go home a quarter of the way through because I was getting sick. Came home and rested for a few before going right back out and getting my 10k steps in. Before I started my journey, I would have just gone to bed and given up.25

I'll start off saying during my weekly friday-morning weigh-in I've lost zero lbs in the last week. whatever. F-that thing...scales are evil.
Last night at the gym -
Weights: Added a full set and +2.5kg to my dumbell work. Added + 5kg to my lats, triceps, and +10kg to my row-machine-thing...don't know the name but it's seated with bars I pull towards me, like rowing.
On the bike: I went only 8.2x miles in my 30 minute ride, but a couple neat things happened. "Happened"...I hate the use of that word. They didn't "happen" - I DiD them. I'm taking credit. Whatever - anywho -
First time I rode the bike for 30 minutes, 6.2 miles. My heart rate peaked about 160 during the ride.
Last night - after about 3 weeks of training - I went 8.2 miles in 30 minutes, but my heart rate never got about 140. That's good, right? that shows increased fitness/heart efficiency?
This morning at home -
Fit pretty easily into my new 'sexyJeans' (tm). Finally bought non-levis/etc jeans two weeks ago. They are really nice - $120 (yes, I'm old and $120 for f'ing jeans? WHA??), some sorta turkish denim blend? Whatever - Biggest size the place had shows up in the mail. I have to inhale and suck in my gut as hard as I possibly can to BARELY get them on.
This morning? Slipped on with just a tiny inhale.

I bought a dress with a drawstring around the waist a few months ago. When I put it on this morning I noticed the string was a lot longer, and I could tie it in a pretty big bow. Then it dawned on me that the string hadn't changed, my waist just got smaller36

I looked at it.
I put it back in the fridge again and took out some cherries instead.
The Mars Bar is still in the fridge
I want to be like you when I grow up.
But in all seriousness, even if I ever did that, the chocolate would still haunt my dreams until it was gone. Especially if it was a Snickers bar. Man, I would not be able to get anything done until that thing was in the garbage or in my belly.

A week or two ago I went out to eat at Denny's. Usually when I am just sitting and doing nothing I am either picking at the side of my thumb, picking at my fingernails or if I am at a restaurant, I am folding and unfolding the straw wrapper over and over until the food comes. That time I purposely kept from doing all three things and noticed I was tapping my foot instead. I stopped tapping my foot and analyzed how I was feeling and what I wanted to do. Turns out I wanted to walk around the restaurant a couple times until the food came.
That told me that I was suppressing my desire to move and to exercise by doing other things that were not exercise. That reminded me years ago when I was with my grandmother and she was talking to someone and I was standing there listening but wanted to leave so I could go home and do something. The woman looked at me and mentions that I look like I want to fall asleep. My grandmother looked at me and said that I couldn't stand doing nothing.
Tonight after I exercised and showered, I took the dogs out, walked around a bit and then sat down to watch them and watch the meteor shower. No fidgeting at all. No thumb picking and no fingernail picking.26 -

Being grown up is dead boring.
The Mars Bar is still in the fridge.
I had enough calories available yesterday to eat the darned thing but decided to eat a banana, apple and grapes instead.
I am a dull grown-up.

Three consecutive weeks of 5 days of workouts + went back to food tracking and measuring last Sunday and have had a very controlled week + 4 days without energy drink + made my own hot and sour soup for the first time last night (healthy and high in protein). I had forgotten how colourful eating healthy is and how much taking control of my choices feels amazing!23

Just came off a week long canoe camping family holiday in northern Ontario bush. My biggest NSV was being able to hump +50lb packs over multiple km portages - I am sure all the squats lately have helped that. The other two NSV were NO BUGS and TAIL WINDS the whole trip! Woo hoo.27
-
I bumped my 50 minute elliptical workout to 60 minutes yesterday AND took over 21,000 steps26
-
My current cool down (30 mins on the cycle) used to be my entire workout.35

I got back on the wagon. I fell off for few weeks (had amazing holiday in meanwhile) and gained 8 pounds I lost my over 200 days streak here and was feeling very down and defeated. But yesterday I pulled myself together, logged everything and did 1 h workout! Today scale showed 2 pounds less than yesterday, what the hell?? I'm so happy and I'm slowly and very carefully starting to believe again that I can actually do it...29
