Hi...

I'm contemplating what's good to eat for lunch that has to be bought from a sandwich shop or such like. I KNOW I KNOW I should make my own lunch but after the week I've had, I just couldn't today!

Thanks!!!

A dry turkey, ham or roast beef sandwich with tomato, lettuce and whatever other veggies they have available.

Subway has several lower calorie 6" subs with less than 6grams of fat each if you omit the cheese and mayo. Make it a meal with a nonfat yogurt and bottle of water or unsweetened iced tea and it can be suprisingly filling and satisfying. At a generic sub/sandwich shop, just keep in mind that the dressings and cheese are what add the most fat and calories to a sandwich. Use lettuce, tomato, pickles, and if you like mildly spicy, those yellow pepper rings add a lot of moisture, crunch, and flavor to a sub. A sandwich doesn't have to be dry to be healthy, just chose high moisture veggies instead of dressings. Good luck!
