The thing that keeps me motivated to stick with it is that I know what it's like to be thin compared to not.
I had done it, I had lost the weight before. I was more social. I was confident. I even wore a bikini and felt proud of myself. That only lasted so long though until I self-sabotaged myself. I mean the rule is If you lose weight you get a free pass to eat whatever - right? And if your boyfriend sucks, you can definitely be justified an extra dessert. Heck, just about everything in my life became an excuse to stop caring about myself.
For a while I managed to convince myself that it was okay I stopped caring. It makes me mad at myself for how little self worth I felt towards myself when I know what it's like to be happy instead. I work really hard and often I feel that I am missing out on my life because of it. The truth is, I've been letting myself miss out on it. This realization is what continues to guide me though my life change. I would like to say I'm not the person who cares about the weight loss, because I do. I accomplish so much at work I want to feel accomplished with myself. I have never done a post before, but this has helped me admit things to myself that needed to be admitted. There is no stopping me now.

I started MFP in 2012, lost 78 lbs by 2013 (240 to 162) and am restarting my journey again at 178. Lol I'm also just now observing the many colors my hair has been along the way!

This thread is awesome! I'm still a work in progress. I found this photo on the left this morning and have realized just how far I have come and that is worth celebrating.
These photos are a little over a year apart. Photo on the left I was 10 months postpartum after my first child. Photo on the right is from this morning and I am 6 and a half months postpartum with my second child. I'm starting to feel pretty good about where I am at.
My goal now is to keep up the weight training, lose fat, build muscle and become smokin hot!!

My journey started on March 1st, 2016. I took some before photos (March 12th, 2016) My apologies for the bathroom pics..I thought, if I ever get down to where I can have an after photo..I'd need the befores..
Then almost to the day, 6 months later..I started at 308 pounds..and not sure what I weighed on Sept 11th for this after photo, but today I am down a little over 80 pounds and I just turned 58. If I can do it...son can you.

I'm 5'1" and used to be a standard 135. I crept up to about 170 at my heaviest and now I have come down to 112 and am now gaining more muscle mass! I don't ever remember being this light and strong and it feels REALLY good. Just keep telling yourself you can do this and be patient.36 -
