Weight loss help with diet and exercise

Please help. I started April 28th and i have lost 18 lbs since then. The first 15 were just by eating 1200 calories a day. 2 1/2 weeks ago i started walking 7 milesa day burning about 600 calories. I have only lost a additional 3lbs since then. Im still maintaining 1200 calorie intake a day. I have been told that im starving my body and not eating enough calories daily. How do I figure out how many calories I should be eating a day to still benefit from the exercise and still lose weight?
