Is it okay to call a cat 'grey cat'?

We have just got a new kitten and she is grey. My son and wife want to call it Smokey, but I think 'Grey Cat' is more appropriate.

My wife says that Grey Cat is a stupid name, and that she would be too embarrassed to take it to the vet.

Should I give in, or put my foot down on this one!

Why don't you call it Christian ? Get it? That would seem like a good compromise

I can't tell if this is serious or not, so I'll just take it as serious...

I'd go with your wife and son on this one B) or compromise with a bit of both?

Hmm, u mean like smokey kitten or something? I think that works, I will try that on them in the morning.

    Call him Gotham Grey.

My husband is a retired veterinarian & I worked with him. We had a client who named his dog “Killer”. The wife named the same dog “Princess”. The whole life of the dog, the wife made appointments for “Princess”, but the husband brought in “Killer”. The loving pampered dog seemed to understand both names & was happy just for attention. Why not name the cat “Smokey Gray Cat”?

I like Gray Cat. It's very original in its seemed lack of originality.

People are always trying to come up with synonym names. Why bother.

Little Black Kitty agrees with me by the way. She's not my cat, but her owners named her Rylee. Bleh. She likes Little Black Kitty much better.

Go to the back door, shake box of kibble, shout "Grey Cat! Dindins!"

If you feel stupid, then it's not a good name.
