Mark Sisson, guy just had a heart attack

I think if you Google "mark sisson heart attack", it was a dieter on one of Sisson's forums that had the heart attack, not Sisson himself. The individual is a 63 year old male. Not an uncommon occurrence regardless of diet.

Personally not a fan of all his teaching, but he does put out some decent stuff on exercise.

Anything that comes out of Dr. Oz mouth is by far one of the worst.

Eric helms, layne Norton are best for actual detailed info. I also like Marc lobliner cause he's funny and straight to the point without getting super sciency lol

Favorite: Alan Aragon, Eric Helms, Brad Schoenfeld, James Krieger

    Worst: Taubes, Lustig, Dr. Oz

Pretty much hits it on the nose for me, but I'd add:

to the 'Best' list: Lyle McDonald

to the 'Worst' list: Mercola and Hyman.

Agreed and I'll add Layne Norton to my best list.

I like Ursula Philpot (the Supersize vs Superskinny dietitian) - sometimes she "tells" me when I have had enough :D

YES! If only I could magically have her guide me through the day...

They aren't specifically weight loss experts, but when it comes to info on general health and wellness I would add Food Babe and David Wolfe to the list of the worst out there.

Ah. The proprieter of the 7 Day Food Babe Sugar Detox and a flat earth theorist (david wolfe).

Safe to say you're right that they're not experts. lol

Add these two to my "worst" list.

Same. Their followers also have a habit of crusading and reporting any info that conflicts with them. Of course, Food Babe actually sells things that contain the same stuff she advocates against.

I legit lol'd at listing Menno as the worst.

Curious what topics he has that cause you to say this.

Sorry that was a bit tongue in cheek, mostly because Menno's crankiness with Lyle.

A real response would be Lee Fulkerson, Greger...

I second David 'Avocado' Wolfe as one of the worst. Even if the man does advocate eating chocolate (which I'm all for) he seems to spend most of his time spinning on a unicorns forehead.

I also put forward Yoni Freedoff as one of the best.

I was very impressed with Tom Venuto's book - Burn the fat, feed the muscle.

Found it very informative and lots of common sense with the approach.
