Hi y'all! Looking for some hunting pals on here that don't judge me because I prefer to work hard for the meat I consume. Clean, natural meat.
I use both firearms and my recent acquisition, a Bear Archery compound bow.

You can obviously do what you want but you actually enjoy hunting and killing animals ? Then you must skin them and chop them up eeeew I couldn't do that, only if I was starving to death3
-
Poor animals3

lmao. seriously, unless your a vegetarian and eat NO animal protein at ALL, don't be hypocritical. buying your meat at a store is most likely far less humane than harvesting a wild animal who has had the freedom to roam the earth as they please.
Get a clue. animals die to feed us. we top the food chain as humans. its how life is. maybe if you don't have the "stomach" to kill your own meat, then just don't eat any. its not pretty, not glamours but it is how the human race works.29 -
I called for hunters not for judgements and opinions against it. Kindly see your way out of this thread if you don't like hunting or prefer to buy your meat from the store kthx18

I only hunt pokemon.15

If you are top of the food chain, take a wander around a pride of lions.
We aren't top of the food chain. Just cowards with better tools.9 -

Nope, actually, I don't eat meat, but that is irrelevant to the point. We are not top of the food chain by any measure and that shouldn't be used as some "God-given" license to hunt. We are omnivores with poor dental capacity or digestive capacity for raw meat. We have managed to evolve eating a little of it and cooking it to begin the breakdown for us. We are food for many predators, putting us down that pecking order.
Our brain-power allows us to punch higher than our ranking, but it doesn't change the fact that we are food. The true heads of the food chain have nothing that regards them as natural prey.
Science, not wishful thinking.

and clearly you don't hunt...so again. just exactly why are you here? move along.7 -
I gather veggies & fruit I grow in my garden, hunt for berries & wild mushrooms in the forest and collect eggs from my chickens. I buy lots of meat from the supermarket & butcher as I love meat & don't ever wish to give it up. I regularly have hunters in the forest behind my house as I live in a area in SW France that loves hunting game.6

Actually cooking came about late in the evolution of man and the brain-power you speak of was helped along because of meat being included in the diet. Sliced and pounded meat required less chewing and easier to digest, also less chewing for greater calorie intake than root veggies...these processing techniques also crossed over to the veggies and lead to items like mashed potatoes, also easier to chew than the raw root....science not religion.
I could care less what you choose to eat, but what you choose to eat doesn't make you better...just makes us different.10 -

Dammit I live in Florida lol but I'd love to join ya! What are you using?0 -
308 for the elk since its mostly brush and flat desert land, and you need to take long shots... out to about 600 yards.
Pigs we use re-curve bow, and a big *kitten* knife. Sometimes the bow just pisses them off, depending how big they are, so you have to finish it off with a knife. No fire arms allowed during bow season.1
