Eat what you already planned as a healthy, calorie-appropriate meal, log it, and plan better tomorrow.2

Yeah, would you walk 2 miles for a snickers bar?1
-
It's not a problem if you don't go over.1

It's 5pm, you've totally got time for a walk. But it's also not the end of the world if you go a few hundred over, it will put you at maintenance for the day, at worst. Have dinner, plan better next time.3

Don't starve yourself. Eat your normal dinner and go over your calorie goal today. It matters more that on average you stay within your limit. You can make up for this over the course of the rest of the week.
Lesson learned...plan better next time.1 -

Continue on and plan better tomorrow. Unless you go significantly over (depending on how much you are trying to lose per week), it won't really have much impact for one day. In the overall scheme of things, it really won't matter.1

As above, or eat at maintenance for today, then move on.0

Fortunately my grocery store isn't that far away0 -
Just go for a bike ride, or a jog after you eat! It will burn up the extra calories!1
-
Eat at maintenance today, or have a big salad for dinner.0

Keep yourself busy. I eat my calories before 3. Because after that...I have my kids off school and I'm beyond busy...and I don't even think about food.1

Thanks all. I actually went for a 40 minute walk with my dog. Going to try to stay under the cals, but I may end up going to bed at 8:00!5

Progresso Southwestern vegetable soup is made for those days when calories are almost used up by dinner time. 60 calories a serving, 120 for the whole can, and it's pretty filling.4

Haha! When I first started out I had to run after work if I wanted dinner. You'll get there. Do the best you can today. That's why there's tomorrow.2

That's actually what I typically do when I'm out of calories. Can't eat & sleep at the same time2 -
Find something for 108 calories, eat it, finish the day knowing you stayed within your calorie goal.0

I agree with everyone. Go over a little. Things happen, they always do and always will. You will never be perfect with your diet, never. There will always be a time where you have no choice but to eat more calories. Remember though, it's a journey, not a race. A little setback will not make much of a difference in the end. Like a drop in the ocean, it's bigger, but you won't be able to tell a difference.0
