We're all here for our own reasons. Personally I wish to become the best version of myself. Period!
That is easy to say, but in reality; it is way harder.

This is a really good point that is worth to keep into consideration. The habits we have shaped us into who we are, and in order to change; we have to change our surroundings. Habits are hard to break/change, it takes roughly 21 days. That's where encouragement comes into the picture!
MFP is a great first step. By surrounding yourself around like-minded people you don't have to feel alone. Most of us have probably gone through the phase "It is time for change" but struggled doing so for a long time.
For all newcomers, adapting the habit of calorie counting can be hard; because you face the reality. Don't be discouraged, accept it! Taking small actions today will lead to great change overtime!
