How to give weight loss a kick start

Hi,
I was previously doing quite well with the slow and steady weight loss but it's stalled and , worse, gone up by a pound or two despite still watching what I eat. This may be related to the monthly cycle. Any tips on how to give the weight loss a bit of a kick?

If it's due to your period, it's nothing time won't fix. Weight loss is not linear. Just keep doing what your doing.2

How long have you been stalled? If you think it has to do with your cycle (meaning it's been less than a month?), make sure your food logging is on point and wait it out for a couple of weeks. You don't need to kick anything.0

Not trying to be rude, but "watching what you eat" is meaningless. I can watch 6000 calories of taco bell go into my mouth and I'm watching what I eat, but will certainly gain weight.
How many calories are you consuming? As long as you're consuming less calories than maintenance, you will lose weight. Yes, menstrual cycle stuff can really take the scale for a ride, and that's nothing you need to worry about. All you need to worry about is keeping your calories under maintenance, and the weight will come off.
As far as "kick starting" or increasing the speed of weight loss, there are a few things you can do, but only one that makes sense.
If you just want to see the number on the scale drop for a day or two, you can cut carbs and sodium, watch your water intake, and watch the weight fly off. It'll come right back when you get re-hydrated, but if you just wanted to see a smaller number, then you're good!
To actually lose more body fat faster, the only thing you can do is create a larger caloric deficit. You can either do that by lowering calories or increasing activity.
But like the others have said, you may have nothing to worry about, may just be a bad water retention time of the month. If you've been eating in a deficit every day, then you're winning. Focus on that, and the scale will catch up when if feels like it2 -
Thank you guys! I've been netting 1350 calories and been exercising so I'm hopefully building muscle. It's just quite disheartening when for whatever reason the scale doesn't seem to be going in the right direction. Hopefully it's just cycle related.0

You'll find ladies here who will retain up to 6lbs of weight in shark week. It does pass though.3 -
I've been up a little over 4lbs all week for 2 reasons Too many high sodium days and my period is due tomorrow.
My food logging has been solid over the last month, so i can rest easy that the water retention plus a little more real weight will be gone by early next week.1
