Diet: Can be found on the internet if you have lost your guide, but most sites state that it is about at 1200 cal diet...so that Is the only guideline I am following.

I'd like to join!! I know I missed yesterday's Turbo Jam workout, but I worked out at the gym for an hour yesterday, does that count? I'll be working out on the weekdays after work at 5:30pm and on the weekends in the morning around 9am.
How do you figure out the calorie count for the workouts? I'll add my measurements tonight once I get home. ^_^

Sorry, guys I created the group and slacked off with logging in. I am going to do turbo jam every day, plus other exercise, and I decided I just can't do only 1200 cals since I plan to exercise even more after turbo jam..So my personal goal is 1550 cals with turbo jam!!
Starting Weight 175
Day 1: Cardio Party & met calorie goal
Day 2: Cardio Party & 55 minutes of walk/jog & 20 minute pilates & met calorie goal
@becca, I use a heart rate monitor..I usually burn about 450 calories during cardio party. You can log it under cardiovascular, search "kickboxing (including turbo jam). I am not sure how accurate that is...have you ever considered getting a heart rate monitor?

No problem, glad to see you're back. I've been doing Turbo Jam and Jillian's six wk six pack on days when I feel up to both. I will try to keep the calories at 1,200 but it's not easy. I like snacks while watching my shows in the evening (I know, not good). Doing this with you guys will help keep it to a minimum which is great.

I haven't tried fatblaster, it didn't come with the set I bought. I will have to look into that one!

I was iffy about turbo sculpt bc I hate weight training, but it actually wasn't bad at all! With chalene and the music and how she changes up the moves so frequently, I didn't find it boring at all. What do you guys think?0 -
I think turbo sculpt is a good work out and I will do it again for sure. I've been hooked on Jillian's Six Pack though. She does a lot of lunges and high intensity stuff that burns lots of calories. I need to work on my butt and thighs and not my arms so I preferr that work out. :happy:

I've been really bad keeping up with this... It's just been one of those weekends and then yesterday I had to take my pooch to the vet. =/ BUT!!! I'm back and I'll do a few extra days. Tonight I think I'm going to do Cardio Party Mix 1.
I have done Fat Blaster and that one is fun. My two favorite are Booty Sculpt and Cardio Party Remix. I'd like to get the two ball workout DVDs eventually.0 -
So much for trying to stay at 1,200 calories. I've been really hungry lately. I probably need to try and eat veggies instead of rice cakes, popcorn and those new fig newton cookie thins. I guess I tend to make habbit when I really like something. That's probably why the scale doesn't move.

7/11 & 7/12: Did not do turbo...but burned more calories than I would have by walking and using elliptical and pilates....really needed to gives my knees a break!! Today may be another break day for the knees...not sure yet. 7/11 and 7/12 met calorie goal0

I was going to rest today but figured if I wanted any snacks I better do something.

If it's not too late, I'd like to join. Turbo Jam is my only form of cardio and I enjoy every minute of it. My favorite TJ dvd is cardio party 1 since I know all the moves from start to finish. Still working on cardio party 2 & 3. I actually burn less calories doing those two, because I end up pausing/rewinding the video.

So last night (after a crappy day at work) my boyfriend and I decided to try racquetball instead of Turbo Jam. I worked out on the Arc Trainer for 20 minutes, did 45 squats, 30 crunches and 30 push-ups before he got to the gym and when we were finished I could believe what my heart-rate monitor said!
Worked out: 1hr 18 min
Calories Burned: 1132

Cottonay, I think this ends tomorrow but I will do it with you until the 22nd if you want? My husband is coming home that night after being gone for over a month so I won't be on here much until he leaves again in a week. Let me know! :happy:
Becca, that's great you burned so many calories! Its great having an HRM to see how many calories I'm burning. Did you get one with a chest strap? That's what I have and it falls a lot so that's annoying but other than that it does the job.

Leslie4health, that would be awesome if you could. I'd like to have a workout buddy. I wish there was an official Turbo Jam group dedicated to Turbo Jammers like ourselves, similar to the Turbo Fire thread. Everyone probably upgraded to that one after it came out, which is understandable, but I can't make myself give up on Turbo Jam. It's the first workout dvd that I have ever looked forward to doing everyday, it has become a daily routine for me just like brushing my teeth or taking a shower. Don't get me wrong there are days when my motivation is severely lacking, but those days are few in between.
Anyway, I just finished Cardio Party Mix 2. My hrm says I burned 460 cals. I was burning a lot more when I restarted the prog a month ago. Go figure :P0 -

I only did turbo 5/10 days, but I did other exercises for 3/10 days...anyway..It was great to have you guys here in the group! Good luck continuing with turbo jam, cottonay and leslie!! Cottonay, I agree, I'm totally hooked on doing Turbo Jam. I only have cardio party 1 and sculpt. I'm about to purchase Turbo Jam Lower body Jam to help tone. Wow, you burn way more calories than me. I burn about 300 doing cardio party. Well, I will keep posting my info. here so we can do this together.

Sorry for the lack of updates. My sis-in-law came over for the weekend so I skipped two of my scheduled workouts. Anyway, I weighed in today and lost 0.8 lbs. Not bad considering that I cheated a little bit. I had a couple extra serving of food and a melon ice bar. (I can't seem to give those up, because it taste soo good).0
