Can you eat a modified version of a "crappy carb?" Eat only one serving? I have a "salt" tooth, not a sweet tooth and I crave pizza. It NEVER tastes as good as I thought it would and my body feels blah afterwards.
Hopefully you can make it through! Take it 10 minutes at a time!

It seems if I really limit my carbs to decent nutritional ones and combine with a meal I don't have the cravings so bad. Although it seems if I eat white bread I just want more carbs all day. Thank you for caring! I also crave salt more than sweet. I ate some Doritos this week. Should just not have them. YES, blah afterwards and cranky. No energy.

Yuck! I detest the cravings because if I give in to them, I feel bad physically and emotionally and it's all just no fun.
I have a few suggestions but I'm no expert. This is what I would do if I was in your shoes.
    1) Remove the Doritos and white bread from my home and don't let it fit into my schedule. As in, no gas station snacks.
    2) Research online what cravings mean and what you can eat/may be missing from your diet. There are articles about craving carbs specifically but I don't know how reliable they are. Read at your own discretion.
    3) Take a craving 10 minutes at a time. (Example: avoid carbs for 10 minutes, re-think it, do another 10 minutes, etc.
    4) If you do eat the carbs, get right back on the wagon the next meal. No need to blow everything because of one small craving.
    5) Remember you are human, this is a journey so you're still figuring stuff out!
    6) Be kind to yourself!

Thank you! Good ideas! Also, going to look back on what I ate on days I didn't struggle vs days I did. I love the 10 minute idea. If I still want it, I will portion it. Less impulse eating. T

Struggling over here! I'm within my calories but I was told no exercise by my physical therapist (back pain) and I'm grumpy, bloated and frustrated. Grrr.

Everyone else is kickin' butt though and I'm happy to see it!

TOM/period time for me. But...I'm not frustrated. I looked at last month's TOM weight...146.2lb. I'm 3lbs less than last cycle, and that's a WIN!!!

So, for those very sensitive to hormonal bloating and inflammation, keep that in mind.

Joans....hang in there. To stay the same or just have small losses is a feat under the circumstances. Far better than gaining. Drink plenty of water and add a squeeze of lemon for the bloating. Maybe some fiber as well but be sure to drink plenty. Maybe ask p.t. or a doc if you can just do a little walking. For me being a little active makes me feel better than just sitting. The p.t. I was seeing ended up causing me an additional injury. But that's just me. Hang in there.... Eat more things with less calories when can't be active. Plenty veggies... Hugs!

@jopalis thank you for your kind words! I swam today-I can't sit still any longer. Just light laps but I did feel it. I've been released from PT, it didn't help. I'm on to a pain specialist in 2 days, then an MRI in 4 days. I am a water FIEND. People make fun of me because of my water bottle! I didn't think about the lemon though! I'm within my calories every day. Lack of exercise made everything slow down. I'm going to BEG the dr on Wednesday for safe exercises. I lost 40 pounds to help with my back pain, not hinder it!
    Thank you! ❤️

hang in there joans 1976. My husband had back surgery for L4 and another one. If you need the surgery, don't wait. You can get some permanent nerve damage. Swimming is great. Or maybe one of those water classes. Just don't overdue. It's not worth it. You are doing great!
