Ideas for BBQ recipes?

I need some ideas for easy low cal, high protein recipes to grill on the BBQ. We use the barbee year round and are getting tired of chicken breasts with salsa and lemon pepper seasoned fish.

Any new ideas would be appreciated and other options to flavor the chicken breasts and fish ( I only like salmon ).

Welcome!

For chicken, I usually go with classic Texas-style dry rub: chile powder(s), garlic powder, onion powder, crushed cumin, and maybe a little jalapeno sauce if I want a bit more "muddy" rub instead of dry.

Sometimes, if I'm in the mood, I'll go Indian-- curry powder, garlic & onion powder

Fish is fabulous with chopped green chiles and garlic.

personally I love grilled steaks. Depending on what type you have, you could also slow-smoke some beef or pork. Lots of calorie-free dry rubs you can apply to whatever meat you are cooking. I don't have any recipes because its mainly just meat and heat.

If you go to the grocery store for seasoning rubs, be sure to check the ingredients because a lot of the premade ones have a lot of sugar in them.

Pork tenderloins are pretty lean, same with eye of round, London broil, turkey breasts, foil boat tilapia, shrimp on the skewer!

Grilled veggies are great and can fill your plate with few calories. I have zucchini and egg plant marinading in vinegar and olive oil with spices right now for dinner tonight.

Make chicken kebabs! Just add peppers and onions (we marinate the chicken first).
Chicken sausages are great too. Pork chops. Lean steak.

This! http://www.skinnytaste.com/grilled-chicken-satay-with-spicy-peanut-sauce/ except I make my own peanut sauce with hoisin, peanut butter, soy, ginger and chili garlic paste instead of sriracha.

I like to put a dollop of pesto on my grilled salmon, delicious!

Out of BBQ sauce and some other usual rub components last evening. Made this: https://youtu.be/tId3ox8MAD0
(tarragon-hotsauce-yogurt marinade) on a lark, was very good.

Joke in the video - "what to do when, sometime in BBQ season, you get tired of other chicken approaches?" Sounds like your situation. I have some constraints on making frequent beef - I have some no-red-meat folks in the family. So I'm always scouring around for more chicken recipes myself.

"Food Wishes" blog and youtube series has lots of ideas. I will probably try the "Cornell Chicken" later this week/weekend.
