why do people like to be naked in the sauna?

I've been wondering this for a while. Lol After my workouts and weights, I want to go sit in the sauna. Helps sore muscles. It's wonderful when nobody is in there & I don't mind if anyone clothed is in there but when people naked want to be in there too it suddenly feels weird lol. So I'm curious now. Why do they do this?

Because it's so damn hot!4

Less clothing allows the pores to open to clear the toxins out of your body through sweat better, others will go nude to simply be ready for a shower after.2

Sauna at our gym forbids street clothing, but requires bathing suit or towel. I couldn't imagine wanting to be in the sauna with clothes on. Yuck!3

To show off......1

Maybe I just need my own personal sauna hahahaha0

So when you walk in, they can say "helloooooo" without speaking.5

We have a traditional Finnish sauna in our garage. It's wonderful! No clothes allowed.3

Because they are perverted lol I really don't desire to see naked people in a sauna. luckily I have not experienced it. Different strokes for different folks I suppose and to each their own1

Because the jets feel so good1

Because in the words of Tommy Pickles,
"Nakie is good. Nakie is free. Nakie is....Nakie!"4 -

I just tuck it in, cross my legs, and rest my arms over my lap. Don't be shy, gurl.

I think a better question is why it bothers you/anyone else. If its connected to a gym locker room then some amount of nudity is expected. Is your view that people should "hide their shame"?2

My personal preference would be use a towel. The question was why people want to be nude in there. It was a mystery to me.0

Then I think the answer is because they find it more comfortable and aren't concerned about being nude0 -

Because it feels better? I want to relax there. I don't want soggy underwear up my butt.0

I don't understand why anyone would want to get in there in their sweaty gym clothes. That's gross to me.1

The sauna in my gym is not connected to the locker room. It's coed I've never seen anyone naked in it... So let me understand this correctly many of you are okay with people being naked in there so your okay sitting in the spot where someone before you had direct *kitten* sweat on the sitting area? I'm going to say a bunch of you are full of crap and just stirring the pot3
