I drink two cups of coffee to help stave off hunger after lunch and after dinner. I use 1/2 cup Silk vanilla unsweetened almond milk and 1 tbsp sugar free cream which amounts to 35 Cals per cup. Makes the cup more substantial too.

Trust me, I would drink 3L of Diet Coke a day if I believed it were safe.

    It is "safe".

Pretty much everything you put in your mouth will cause some tooth decay, which is why good oral hygiene is important. Diet soda is no worse than anything else, except water.

    eh, this is somewhat wrong.

Certain drinks have a low effect on enamel erosion. namely:
    milk, water, rootbeer, and coffee.

Erosion of enamel starts around 5.5 PH

As far as decay goes, most artificial sweetened beverages do not cause any tooth decay as they do not support bacterial growth and acidity.

Almond milk, black coffee, water 2 - 3 litres. I some time use almond milk in my oats and coffee if I don't want black coffee.

    Anywhere from 200-400 cals, usually:
~100 in coffee with coffeemate flavored creamer
~ 0 in water and diet soda
    ~150-300 in wine

All filled with chemicals. None of them dangerous.

Diet soda is bad for the teeth and bone.

I don't drink my calories. Calories are too precious to waste them on a beverage when I can get the same effect from water.

I pretty much only drink water or unsweet tea... with the exception of my morning coffee because I NEED vanilla creamer!! My coffee is about 70 calories

It all varies but usually 35 calories a day. 100 if I feel like it. Some days I do drink more though (when I'm craving something sweet) but it doesn't happen often.

50 calories a day, so I can have a few drinks on Saturday.

A couple of hundred if I'm having wine with dinner. I don't eat dessert, so wine is sorta my dessert.

If I drink anything with calories, I add it to my diary like any other food and deduct the calories as usual. I usually only drink sugary things after work anyways [when my blood sugar tends to crash and needs a boost].

When I used to have a medium double double with cream at Tim Horton's, it would be 210cals if I remember correctly. Now I simply make myself a coffee with my Tassimo machine and it amounts to only 50 cals (Great Canadian T-disc is 2cals, 2 tbsp 2% milk is 18 cals and 2 tsp sugar is 30cals - gotta have my sugar since I cannot stand the taste of Truvia in my coffee). Other then that, I'll have water, tea, 6cals glass of lemonade (iced cold water, half a lemon's juice and 2 packets of Truvia) and the occasional glass of milk.

I don't count my protein shakes as a drink, usually I log it as a meal. Here's how I divided my diary: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks.

About 150 calories a day--enough for a craft beer of choice. That's one of very few non-negotiables of this weight loss thing: I WILL have my evening beer.

I save 150 kcal every day for wine. I drink all 7 glasses during the weekend. If I want more alcohol, I have to cut food. 12g milk in my coffee sets me back only about 10 cal/day. Other than that, it's water, tea, diet soda...all calorie free.

I was starting to think I was the only other MFP to save some calories for a cocktail!! Cheers!

About 50 cals worth. Usually just 100ml of semi skimmed milk across three cups of tea or coffee. The rest of my drinks are either water (during the day) and with dinner I will have either a coke zero or sugar free squash.

I do limit my diet coke to one a day....not because of the whole cancer causing sweeteners theory.....but because I already have thin tooth enamel and too much citric acid isn't good for my teeth. I also have to be careful with things like tomatoes and fruits.

Between 0-25 most days. On Fridays, I have usually between 165-500 cals in alcohol.

None, unless you count protein shakes. I do put a splash of half and half in my coffee, but don't count it.

Zip, zilch, zero ,nada! I log my protein shakes as a meal or snack...those full me up as a meal replacement...otherwise why were precious calories on liquid imho

    What milk alternative?

When I first started this process I was using as much half and half as I wanted and 3 packets of sugar in a coffee. I just made the decision to cut it down to two packs, and measure two tablespoons of half and half. The first week sucked, but now I take my coffee this way and it feels like a sweet treat to me. I'll actually have a coffee with sugar if I am craving something sweet because it's an 70-80 calorie hit rather than 300 calories from candy.

I use coconut milk--unsweetened. It's rich tasting but few calories and lots of calcium.

I don't "leave" any calories for drinks because I drink my milk with breakfast. For me, milk is the one drink that I consider to be food because it actually helps fill me up (likely because of the protein) and is an easy way to get protein into breakfast.
