    Sundry and myriad. My ex would use them all the time, trying to sound like he was smarter and had a larger vocabulary than he did.

    Similarly, I developed an unwarranted hatred towards Jimi Hendrix because he always had to pop into music stores to check to see if there was any new Hendrix CDs. Dude, here's a hint: Hendrix died the year you were born. He's not gonna put out new tunes.

    Here's three that I hate: "nipple" - "pimple" & "pus".... Ugh... And don't even think of using all three together, Ugggggghhhh.... Which reminds me of another: "vomit"... :-P

    Definitely! And I also hate "anyhoo" (with a passion), "conversate"-not a word; have a conversation or converse PLEASE; "the Walmarks" and "can't hardly wait"; it's "can hardly...".

    and when someone says "I could care less"......it's couldn't! You couldn't care less! It takes everything I have not to correct them!

    Ask my kids about this one...I literally scream and shout at the screen when i see it it's "I COULDN'T care less" because if you "could care less" it means you care about it somewhat.......grrrrrrrr....and breath

    "my bad", so its a phrase. still drives me nuts

    I just don't get this one, i see it in place of "sorry, I made a mistake" but it doesn't sound sincere

    And the other one that really gets to me is "tounge" it is spelled TONGUE...OK!?

    lush, but only in certain contexts. when talking about foliage etc. its fine as is when talking about drinkers. but here in the uk people use it to describe something nice "oh wow that dress is lush" and i can honestly say i've almost throttled my best mates several times because they use this word in that context. its the only reason i'm glad we now live miles away from each other.

    Zit, pimple, blackhead, whitehead...bleh...these words should all be removed and replaced with 'blemish.'
    Diarrhea or 'bubble guts'...JUST DONT TELL ME
    Vagina, penis, and all the dirty slang words. I just say vaj and peen...a little better I guess.
    The #1 word I hate more than anything is (sort of dirty)..'fingered, fingering'....EW EW EW

    I hate this 100 x more than the word diet.

    Me too......It's just easier to say I've changed my diet ....... I still mean that I am trying to eat like this for life or my diet allows me to eat this etc but I don't want to say my lifestyle change allows me to have an iced coffee or whatever.

    not to be completetly foul, but the c*nt word that is meant toward females as a derrogatory statement or body part. There's a reason some words are not in the dictionary. Some slang was thought up by small-minded people.

    I also hate the phrase "I know, right?!" or IKR in text abbreviations. I think that phrase sounds stupid. Obviously if someone says something and you agree with "I know", you don't have to qualify it with "right?" because obviously if you two agree, they think you're right.

    And I TOTALLY agree on the misuse of words such as "their, there, they're" and "your, you're"...that drives me nuts.

    OH! And when people spell "tomorrow" wrong, i.e. tomarrow....agh!

    I agree! I have 2 little girls and at our house we say 'front buns'.

    I HATE when my MIL says to my very thin girls, "gotta get some schpeck on you". I cannot stand the work schpeck.

    Someone mentioned the word "moist.." Have you ever seen the show "Dead Like Me"? The mother hates the word "moist" because she thinks it's inappropriate :p

    I hate the word "yummy". I feel like it should only be used when speaking directly to someone under the age of 5.
    I also can't stand when people say "shut up"; I find it ruder than curse words. I suppose it's because it give off the vibe of one person thinking their thoughts/words are superior to another's.
