What's your favorite meal/snack? I need ideas. I'm use to healthy food being boring! Thanks.

What makes a food "boring" or "fun"?1
-
- dunkin' for apples
- tomata-pinyata
- cabbage patch dolls
- get out of kale free (you lie in a huge box of kale and eat your way out)
- smoothie surprise (get your friends to identify the surprise smoothie ingredient - Tabasco sauce and anchovies are my favourites)
- fro-yo-a-go-go

Lately I have been on an open face sandwich kick. Toast some bread with a little bit of butter in a pan, top with some lunch meat and melt some cheese on top. Served with a pickle and maybe some pretzels if I have the calories.
This past weekend I roasted some almonds, then drizzled them with some melted dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. Those were good.
I also LOVE popcorn. I make mine at home and flavor with spices of all kinds. Easy and it can be changed up for savory or sweet.2 -

The issue is your definition of healthy being too narrow not the food being boring.
Healthy food to me is food with nutrients that I am not allergic to. It also is not spoiled or contaminated.
So, pretty much any food I want to eat that fits my calorie goal.
pizza of all kinds, tacos, tandoori chicken, spinach salad with chicken, apples and cranberries with blue cheese, gyros, falafel, tomato soup, minestrone, lemon lentil soup, baked potato, oatmeal, souvlaki, corn on the cob, tator tot casserole, turkey, popcorn, cottage cheese, veggie burgers, roasted broccoli, fruit, chicken, meatballs, lemon poppyseed muffins, beans and rice, yogurt, deviled eggs, banana bread, peanut butter, dark chocolate1 -

The taste. If it's bland or eating repeated food all the time.0 -

Go visit your local grocery stores and the various markets in your area. Read labels. See what's available.0 -

Not having a vague or narrow definition of what is healthy.
Meal planning. You can eat something different every day.
Pre-logging your food so you know what fits your goals.
Using things like garlic, onions, herbs and spices to boost flavor without adding a ton of calories.
Switching cooking methods. Baking, roasting or grilling instead of frying.
Bulking up meals with lower calorie vegetables. Good for nutrients, good for fiber.0
