Looking for brands of butter to buy as well as the heavy cream for coffee and possibly milk? Brand new at this and would like to give it a try.

I see people mention Kerry Gold but it isn't sold where I live. I just use whatever salted butter is on sale. Same with heavy cream (50+% fat) of whipping cream (30-36% fat).

I think the more important thing is a quality coffee. If you have a good coffee, brands of dairy don't matter as much.

Consider coconut oil in your coffee too. It has a nice flavour and the MCTs are more readily converted to ketones.

Consider joining the Low Carber Daily group. It's where most low carbers and ketofiles hang out.

I do Keto and use kerrygold butter. I use it because it is produced from non-hormone and grass-fed cows. The grass doesn't have pesticides either, from my understanding. So grass fed, non-hormone, and pesticide free. It is my personal preference and is not based on Keto.

With the above being said I very rarely eat it as butter and usually only consume it as homemade ghee, which I use A LOT. However, I use it in butter form in dishes I prepare for my family.

As far as hwc, my area doesn't have many options at our 3 grocery store chains. When I used it, I used Wal-Mart brand, which was the highest fatted one I could find locally.

Be aware: When eating dairy, it may slow weight loss if you have an intolerance or sensitivity. It happened to me and I had to drop it.

I second low carb group above. It is very supportive.
