Pockets with zippers in athletic clothing.....

Anyone have any good recommendation for a running pant with zipper pocket(s) or a shirt for that matter. On a recent jog, my cell phone fell out in a cross walk and got run over. I have not been able to find any gear that has a zipper pocket big enough.

Get something like a FlipBelt.4

Never heard of it. Will check it out. Thanks for the tip0

+1 for a FlipBelt. Make sure to get them where you can try them for size - I think they were larger than I expected. Also, Road Runner Sports sells running shorts with a zipper pocket large enough for an iPhone 6/7 or similar.0

If you have a bigger phone you'll want the FlipBelt with a zipper - the pocket is a little bigger - and since you're looking for something zippered it will work better for you. The regular FlipBelt doesn't have a zipper but is very secure but my phone will NOT fit in the pocket with a case on. The Zipper flipbelt it is a tight squeeze (shove, cram grrr get in there! cram) but it fits... and I feel safer with my money in the zipper part too.1 -
How about a shirt designed for cycling? (End of season sales are on!)
They have back pockets and often one with a zipper.
Also made from the same technical/wicking material as running tops.1 -
Lots of hiking and climbing and some cycling clothes will work.0

A spibelt is also nice. https://spibelt.com/shop/category/spibelt/
I never carry my phone any more. But use to use an arm band. Was Ok.
I also have a tube belt. Works great.

If you live in a area that gets cold. Running jackets have them. I also have some cool sweat pants with them.

Lululemon. I have a bunch of tights, non-jacket tops, and bras with pockets big enough to fit my phone.0

I hate arm bands and buying all new running clothing sounds expensive. I have 2 items I use. If I'm going on a run of 5+ miles, I use a hydration belt that has a pocket in the center for the phone, keys, and my sport beans for really long runs plus holds two 10 oz bottles. The hydration belt is one of my favorite running accessories. It doesn't bounce around and it allows me to drink / refuel when I want to. I wore it in a 10K race and a 15K trail race and won masters in both so it didn't slow me down either. For shorter runs, i use something similar to a flip belt that i got on amazon. Just search for running belts.0
