Halloween challenge- 6lbs in 6 weeks. Who's with me?

Hi guys,
Halloween is only 6 weeks away now and I'm sure we all want to be looking our best in our sexy Halloween costumes (or in my case my black slimline Melbourne cup dress). So I thought I'd create a challenge for those of us with a similar goal. Let's do this together!

A bit about me: I'm 24 years old with a desk job and trying to get back into running while also trying start more regular strength training (I'll admit I'm struggling). I've decided it's time to lose the extra weight I gained 5 years ago at college/university.

Start weight: my weight in day is tomorrow so will post then.

I'm a 31 year old mom, with a desk job as well. Never been a runner, and I've developed asthma over the past few years so that should make this interesting. I've been able to lose 25-30 pounds since January, but I still have a struggle ahead to get down to where I want to be.

Hey, I'm in too! I'm 28, in the USA, and I have a sit-down job during the week and wait tables on the weekend. I love Halloween (I already started wearing my Halloween socks), and this will be a great way to celebrate and have extra motivation. I weigh on Saturdays. Here's my schedule:

Hi! I'm in, too! I'm a 32 year old professor. I gained a lot of weight when I was leaving a pretty sedentary life (ie sitting and writing and reading) in grad school. Now that I've gotten settled in this job, I've been taking more time to eat right and more active.

I also just moved to a brand new state and don't know anyone here, so I definitely have more time on my hands but could use some motivation.

Looking forward to working with you guys! A few years ago, I lost 30 lbs with MFP and the support system helped a ton. Feel free to add me!

    Sarah

Start weight: I usually weigh in on Sundays!

Sarah and Azalia - sounds like you've already made some amazing progress! Go great.

I'm a bit nervous about seeing my start weight tomorrow. I have had a pretty bad week but I'm looking forward to a fresh start :)

It's Monday here. I'm about to use the work gym then hope to go for a short run after work. I'm running on very little sleep today so I don't plan on pushing myself too much.

What is everyone's goals for today?

I did a lot yesterday so am planning a fairly quiet day with maybe a couple of short walks - plus its a bit dull and rainy here - not a great motivation to get out and about lol!! ;o)

My legs are so sore from squats, and it's hard to get any exercise in when moving hurts. I also badly need to go to the grocery store for fruit and veg. My goal today is to get 10,000 steps in. I'm going to walk my dog.

I'm in! My mom is getting married Oct 27th so I'm trying to continue my loss and use that as a mini goal. I bought two dresses in two different sizes, trying to get into the smaller one by then!

I would like to join as well, as a couple other challenges I'm in will be ending mid-October, and I'm a huge Halloween buff (it's my Christmas!!) I've managed about 2 pounds a week loss since starting at 201.8 at the end of July... That will slow in October because we're vacationing in Orlando. Universal Halloween Horror Nights WOOT (I mentioned I love Halloween, right?) So I'm aiming for 1-2 pounds a week through October - that will put me right on the cusp of 170s!

I see some losses so far!
I haven't had the best week. I haven't been feeling well so exercise has been limited and have been eating too much. I need more self control this week and some bravery to face my fear of needles and get a blood test
