Bulking Macros?

Evening all! Second guessing myself about bulking macros. I appreciate that no two people are the same, but what do you guys suggest starting out with? Thanks in advance!

    Start with a calorie surplus, minimum of fat 0.35 x bodyweight in lbs and protein 0.8 x bodyweight in lbs and the rest carbs

    Peaked at your diary.. Are your bulking calories now 1900? The macros look really good. I saw a couple of days where you did not reach the original 1850 you had setup.. If you strive to reach this surplus with your current macros you are doing great..

    Bulking protein for me is .8 per body weight in pounds minimum. The rest fat and carbs I let them fall where they may and stay within a good range for balance.
  • Thank you both!

    Oh god, Roxie - how embarrassing, my diary is an inaccurate mess right now! The past couple of weeks I've been 40/30/30 but uncommitted logging (and calories too low), but I've planned tomorrow just now at 1900 (bulk calories, might be a little too high right now) and 45/25/30 (minimum 1g per lb bw because I'm anal and I like round numbers hehe)

    LOL.. :)

    Your protein was the first thing I looked at.. and the 139 grams I saw, I thought this was still very good. I do shoot for 1 gram but always recommend the .8 min because there are truly varying opinions if it should be per lean mass or body weight. I personally do body weight and I like round numbers too..

    I do wish you luck, and enjoy the process. :)

    A typical set up is;

    - 1g/lb protein
    - minimum 0.4g/lb fat
    - Carbs = remainder
