Eggs....Good or Bad

I know that there has been some debate on whether eggs are good or bad for you because of the cholesterol. I typically have 1 egg a day, hard boiled, scrambled or nuked in the microwave. No added fat to it...just the egg itself.
I am losing weight but I just want to know if having it once a day will lead to a future problem.

Unless you have a diagnosed cholesterol problem, eggs are fine. Have more than 1.0

Per 2015 USDA guidelines - cholesterol is no longer a nutrient of concern. The most up to date research has shown that dietary cholesterol has a negligible impact on blood cholesterol levels. Basically the more cholesterol you eat, the less your liver makes; the less you eat, the more your liver makes.
Eggs are a wonderful source of protein and quality fats, choline, vitamin E, and probably a bunch of other stuff I don't know off the top of my head . If a daily egg fits your calories, enjoy! Your total cholesterol is far less relevant than your actual cholesterol profile (levels of HDL, LDL, and triglycerides). Don't worry about eggs.6 -

I think the USDA is a flawed source, but yes, heart specialists, medical researchers agree that dietary cholesterol is not the bad guy it was made out to be.

I enjoy eggs and eat them regularly. I had three for dinner last night and then two more for breakfast! They are a good source of fuel for me and keep me feeling satisfied for long periods of time.1

No cholesterol problem to speak of (knocks on wood) was just worried that my one a day egg habit might cause cholesterol problems in the long run. I know some people who do not have weight issues who do have cholesterol problems and I didn't want to end up like that.1

Dietary cholesterol has pretty much no impact on blood serum levels of cholesterol...this was all debunked years ago...the FDA doesn't even require it to be listed on labels anymore...and the U.S. was one of the only countries on the planet that even tracked it in the first place.2 -

Eggs are prefectly fine to eat.... Like ANY food, if you eat too much of it (where you're only eating like one or two different things a day every day). But if you have a concern of anything you're eating, always talk to your doctor or dietition ( better choice!). Love doctors, but they aren't specialized in nutrition. But they can tell you if you're blood work is off and if you need to limit, increase, or cut out something from your diet.
I used to eat every morning : 2 egg yolks and 6 egg whites. I did that just because of my macros I liked to have more protein in there.
Currently eating 2 eggs in my salad lol.1 -

Just wanted to make sure cause for so loooooong everyone at one point did say they were pretty bad for you.2 -

Science changes constantly. At one point fats made you fat lol. Now carbs are the enemy...

Eggs are wonderful for you. The cholesterol in the yolks is not the harmful type. Eat up. I always ignored the baloney because it just rang false with me. I ate eggs while everyone said it would kill me. Now I laugh.1

Tell you something about cholesterol - your body makes it NATURALLY. However, too much cholesterol causes issues. One egg / day isn't going to move the needle, so I think you're on safe ground. It's when you're 350+ pounds, knocking back a dozen at a clip that you're inviting trouble.1

unless you have familial hypercholesterolemia like I have, then the liver produces too much and then your body stores any excess because it cant process the extra.I can have egg whites just not the yolks. but if you have no health issues then eggs are fine.1 -
I eat three eggs nearly every day. My doctor - at my yearlies - looks at my bloodwork, checks me out, and tells me I'm the healthiest patient he has. We then spend the next 10 minutes talking sports, as there's nothing really for him to do.0

Eggs are really good for you because they're a great source of protein but personally i don't eat them anymore because cholesterol is a genetic problem and it runs in my family maybe eat just the egg whites0
