For most people they are good. If you have an allergy, are one of the unfortunate people for whom dietary cholesterol significantly raises blood cholesterol, have some other medical reason to avoid them or simply don't like them, they are bad.0

There is no bad food (unless one is allergic/etc), just bad relationships with food.0

They are quite eggcellent.
I don't eat them every day, though. I don't fancy them every day. And they make me fart.0 -
Eggs are great to up your protien intake. I eat 2 hard boiled egg whites no yolk.0

The most up to date research has shown that dietary cholesterol has a negligible impact on blood cholesterol levels. Basically the more cholesterol you eat, the less your liver makes; the less you eat, the more your liver makes.
Eggs are a wonderful source of protein and quality fats, choline, vitamin E, and probably a bunch of other stuff I don't know off the top of my head . If a daily egg fits your calories, enjoy! Your total cholesterol is far less relevant than your actual cholesterol profile (levels of HDL, LDL, and triglycerides). Don't worry about eggs.
unless you have familial hypercholesterolemia like I have, then the liver produces too much and then your body stores any excess because it cant process the extra.I can have egg whites just not the yolks. but if you have no health issues then eggs are fine.
True... I should have mentioned that the guidelines are specifically for "healthy" people (no underlying medical issues).

yeah I was diagnosed with my issue when I was thin. mine is hereditary and I didnt eat a lot of eggs really. I dont think that will lead to a cholesterol issue, many other health issues can result in high cholesterol though. for me I have a defective gene in my body that causes my cholesterol to be like it is. for me diet and exercise alone will not lower the numbers(trust me I have tried) but if your cholesterol levels are fine I see no reason why you cant eat eggs.0 -
I eat 2 a day, love my eggs. Fills me up, tastes great. Versatile. Goes great with bacon.
I also make mini egg muffins with bacon and veg. Scrummy and oh so tasty!0 -
Eggs are great, lots of protein and a nice filler, I have usually 2 a day with some bacon in a salad for lunch0

I think the USDA is a flawed source, but yes, heart specialists, medical researchers agree that dietary cholesterol is not the bad guy it was made out to be.
I just use it because it's a mainstream source that doesn't scare people :P
Yes ... yes it does! But that's okay. I've learned to live with it.
And I eat eggs almost daily!0 -
Cholesterol is actually something your body needs - have eggs. They're full of protein, and the fat in them helps with satiety. The cholesterol in them is good for cell and connective tissue construction.1
