Hey, just wondering if anyone has any progress pictures or any positive results from the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred.

I've already lost 2 stone and I'm just looking for that extra push to tone up my body- is this the right work out for me??

Thanks!

No-one can really say if it's the right workout for you.

But I also recommend the Jillian Michaels Beginner Shred. When I went looking for the 30 Day Shred in a local sports store, they only had the beginner one, and I thought, well I'm a beginner, why not? I will tell you outright, the first time I did it I could not finish workout one! So if that's the beginner shred, I imagine the actual 30DS is much harder.

So if you're not used to working out, I'd recommend the Beginner Shred first.

Last October I did the 30 day shred for 60 days. I restricted my calories between 1200 and 1800 mainly sticking to 1200 and non processed foods. This was after being sedentary at 203 pounds. I also did a stretching routine 7 days a week and tried not to take more than one rest day a week. It was difficult at first, but it was only 20 minutes; so, I sucked it up and pushed through. I lost 38 pounds and saw definition in my legs and abs. I have a crappy phone and can't upload pics, but my results photos are still on facebook. At the 60 day mark, I was getting really fit, but tries to advance to ripped in 30 by J.M. I fell off the exercise wagon and gained weight back this year. I have a support group on here, and am starting the program again Oct. first. You can John if you want. My advice is if you complete the program once, do it again. FOCUS on the fact that you WILL have to keep exercising a few days a week to stay fit as you age. That mindset will help you stay in the moment and push through the program when it gets hard. Just be in the moment and work hard because the exercises all end in either three, two or one minute. I learned that if it ain't broke then it doesn't need fixed meaning that when it is working for me, I'm going to stick with it and not change programs.

Also, you asked if it is the right program for you to get toned. I think it is. You have already lost 30 lbs if I am converting correctly. After you get your fat off, start lifting heavier and pushing harder through the workouts. That is when you will see great results, but give it the time it needs.
