Congratulations on 20 years!1

Thank you!
I just watched my kids run in their cross country races.... and I'm so proud of them. My son shaved 30 seconds off of his PR. (Personal Record). My daughter shaved off 2 minutes!

Welcome Terri!0 -
I'm on the wagon guys. Working hard with trainer and improved my eating. Writing everything down. Only 2 weeks and lost .7kg. Felt like crying when my weight went up overnight though. It's such a mental game.
No falling off the wagon. Trainer reminded me he helped me once when I came to him at exactly the same weight. Really annoyed with myself that I fell off an have to repeat history but I will just buckle and get on board. Off for a run.
Keep inspiring.1 -
Hope everyone had a great weekend! It sounds like we're all working hard on our goals, so I bet it's going to be a great week for us all.
I'm trying something new this week, eating back all of my exercise calories (a terrifying prospect, since we all know MyFitnessPal tends to wildly overestimate them) while increasing my total amount of exercise. I've been finding myself irritable and slightly "off," and I've been worried that undereating is contributing - so the doctor suggested increasing my eating, but also upping my exercise to try to counteract it.
Goals for this week:
- Come in under my calorie goal every day (but as close to it as possible).
- Do a lunchtime couch-to-5K run every weekday (I hate running, so this is the tough one).
- At least half an hour of other exercise every day (which I already do, so it's much easier).
- Keep a close eye on my physical feelings and my mood to see how things are working!0 -
That's a good plan. Instead of giving in you are ramping up. Thanks. That's inspiring.2

It's a dreary day today, but I had a yummy bowl of soup for lunch. Tonight we're having breakfast for dinner.0

I just found this thread. I fell off the wagon for over 8 months and gained back the 20 I lost and added an addition 12. I got back on it 41 days ago! (yay me!) However, the last three days have been a struggle, I've been over calories (2490 in the last three days ) Last time this happend was 8 months ago, when I slowly gave up. I don't want this to happen like it did last time. Any suggestions on how to keep sticking with it? Thanks!1

Welcome Arrowhead!
My advice, stick with us. Here is your spot in the world to talk about it...with no judgement. We're here to listen... and we're going through the same thing. Keep logging, and work through it with us.
Each day is a fresh start...a new day to start over and try again. Welcome to the wagon!

Bit nervous about tomorrow's weigh-in. I've stuck completely to my goals this week - done all my workouts, attended every aikido class, gone running every lunch hour, eaten back all my exercise calories but stayed under my limit - but I feel like I've slid back. I'm sure it's all in my head, but it certainly seems like I've got body fat I didn't have a week ago...
Guess I'll find out tomorrow. I just don't want to end up with a setback as a result of trying to be healthier instead of just more restrictive, and it's making me antsy.0 -
Hey Jey,
You've been doing all the right things, and hopefully you feel better, too. You've got this!1 -
How'd everyone go? Jey don't worry because you did lots of exercise which lays down all that helpful muscle for fat melting in the future.
My result this week was a bit disappointing given substantial effort. To be fair though I've lost 1.0kg in 3 weeks. It just felt really tough and you know how it is - no visible rewards yet. In fact my face has broken out in acne. Not fair!
Good luck everyone for next week.0 -
@jm216 and @71lmf , thank you so much for the encouragement!
@cjdalla , don't worry - weight loss goes in fits and starts, not steady decreases! I bet you'll see a big improvement next week and be really proud of yourself then. In the meantime, be proud of sticking to your goals and working hard!
For myself, it turns out I was right and my weight has gone up. Not by much (0.4 lbs), but combined with feeling like my body has changed, I don't want that trend to continue. I also don't want to go back to (possible) undereating, though, so my plan for this week is:
- Set my limit at 1200 calories (instead of the 1000 of before) and come in under every day
- Don't eat back exercise calories, because I'm already raising my limit instead
- Keep doing a lunchtime couch-to-5K run every weekday
- Keep doing at least half an hour of other exercise every day (except today)
- Keep a close eye on my physical feelings and my mood to see how things are working!

Ok friends,
I'm starting a 30 day exercise challenge today. Join me if you'd like!
My goal is to add at least 10 minutes of some form of exercise above and beyond walking my dog. Today it's yoga....

I'll join! I'll fit in ten extra minutes of exercise each day above and beyond what I already do (so my regular things won't count). Sounds fun - and manageable, which is key!
Today, my ten minutes was jogging in place (boring, but convenient) and I've just done it!1 -
My goal is to never get off the wagon. I've missed getting back on the wagon, and have been stuck for 15 years. 15 wasted unhealthy stagnant years.0

Welcome Judy! You've found your place now. We're all here for each other.
Yesterday I didn't fit in my 10 minutes of extra exercise, so I'll squeeze it in today....
Happy Monday, my friends....time to walk the dog in the fog.

Hi Jill!
I once lost 40lb - gained back 20lb. I'm back to lose that gain and more. I know what went wrong, and I'm not going to let it happen again. We can do this!1 -

So glad I'm not the only one! I felt bad having missed it on literally the second day of the challenge. Planning to do 20 extra minutes this afternoon to make up for it, though!ZombieLauren wrote: »I once lost 40lb - gained back 20lb. I'm back to lose that gain and more. You can do it, and we'll all help and support!0
