When you're hungry...
Meal timing isn't necessary unless you are an elite athlete in training.9 -
Most people eat three meals a day and a couple of snacks mid morning and mid afternoon. A big breakfast means you can go longer without food. A small meal won't fill you up for so long. But we are all different.
I'd advise to find a routine that works for you, if you don't like to snack make sure you are eating plenty of complex carbohydrate, liquid foods and protein that will keep you full and satisfied for longer.2 -
Depends on my hunger level. There is no strict time. It changes day to day.0

I'd be ready for lunch by 11:30!1

Yes I do usually have lunch around 11.15 which would be a wholemeal sandwich with salad and lean meat slice then dinner around 5.30-6pm but I found I was getting constipated (tmi) sorry. So now I will try salad with protein . I'm on 1200 cals a day.0
-
Constipation can be from not enough liquid or not enough fat. On 1200 cals, that's what most people end up cutting out. Add some fat back in and that should help.2

Thanks any ideas for meal plans0

Ah, meal timings.
When I was obsessive about weight loss, As a rule I would eat like this:
8AM: Breakfast
10AM: Small snack
12: Lunch
4PM: Dinner
Meal timings don't matter for weight loss - but having a rigid schedule such as as the above, for me - made 'eating' such a 'thing'. BECAUSE I had such a time-table, I would be constantly clock watching or thinking about my next 'meal'. Things worked out a whole lot better for me when I listened to my stomach and ate as and when I felt necessary for ME.1 -

I tend to eat every 3-5 hours because that is when I get hungry.
I eat breakfast about 8 AM, lunch around noon, snack about 3-4 PM, dinner at 6 PM, snack about 9 PM. These are pretty normal meal times for most people I know.
You should eat when you are hungry or whatever schedule suits your lifestyle.0 -
No morning breakfast for me. I eat around 1pm, snack around 4 or 5, dinner around 7 or 8pm, and a glass of wine after dinner. It works for me!0

I eat when I'm hungry. Today, that meant I got up at 7:30 but am just now eating breakfast. Sometimes I eat around 8 before I leave the house.0
-
On work days I eat breakfast around 8 and lunch at noon. Dinner time depends on what is going on that evening. On the weekends I just eat when I am hungry or when my husband is hungry. For the most part I say just eat when you are hungry. I can't eat lunch before noon when I am at work so if I needed a snack until the am I would plan to have one, but I don't usually feel hungry until lunchtime.0

Breakfast: 6:30-8 am or not at all
Lunch: 11/11:30
Dinner: 4:30 pm
Snack, sometimes: 6 pm
If you're eating at a deficit, it doesn't matter when you eat those calories.0 -

10.30 for me! That's why I wait and have breakfast at 8.30ish so I can make it through till 12 to eat lunch!!0 -
I don't eat breakfast, just hot tea with cream. I eat my first meal around 1 pm, an afternoon snack if I want something and dinner around 7.0

Nothing personal, but I see red whenever I see or hear this statement2 -
I eat my meals pretty far apart on a normal day -- 6 am for breakfast, 12 for lunch, around 9 for dinner, sometimes even later. It's just personal preference, though.0
