strenght training - losing, maintaning, or gaining (water retained + Body composition)

for those of you who are doing weight lifting + Cardio and trying to lose a few pounds.
How did it go the first weeks? Did u lost, maintained or gained weight?
I know there's the water retain when u exercise + the body composition changing..
So how long does it take? how was your experience with that.

I lift weight for body aesthetics.

I count calories for weight loss.

The first month I lifted, I gained 3 lbs. The next month I lost 3 lbs. After that my weight loss resumed its normal downward trend.

I noticed this is your second question around this-- what's your goal and what are your concerns, generally?

If you're meeting your caloric goals, you're going to lose weight when you're doing any kind of cardio/lifting program. As per how long it takes... depends on the person but if you're consistent, your body is going to fall in line with your weight loss goals. The key? Consistency and patience-- especially during those first few weeks when you're putting in work and may not necessarily see immediate results... but trust it. Things are happening and will begin showing in the coming weeks and months.

Have you begun? You're in a good spot. By kicking off a weight training program, "recomposition" will get that "toned" you look you want... and with only 10-15 pounds, you'll be there in no time. That said... I'd recommend to focus less on weight as your recomposition may add weight in the long run.

    Congrats on getting after it!
